My Dream Char

Post by skilledskills »

I want to make a character who's a lvl 73 melee, 83 Ranged, 19 Nature Magic and 83 Combat magic. (Or just 83 in all 4 classes)
But i don't know if it is possible to do that since afaik, the max lvl 100, and i would believe you would reach that, before reaching all 4 goals.
So i would be happy if someone could confirm this, if either they had tried it or know how the xp chart looks like.

I think it's safe to say that you can't get the levels that high. I played a couple of the hybrid classes in the expansion pack, and the favored half only got to around level 85. Maybe you could get all four classes to level 60 or so, but not 83.

Can you clarify this for me? Do you mean that it is impossible to get all abilities to lvl 100? (abilities being melee, ranged and the magicks)

Hold on. When you hit character level 100 you stop adquiring experience for the classes aswel?

If that's a yes how it seems to be, then:

1- To get a class to 100 you need the 100 character levels? i.e.: never switching class?

2- If I sacrifice one or 5 or 10 levels from my main class, how many levels can I get from other classes (I asume experience from 99 to 100 will give me at least 10 first levels of other class) Is there an experience table somewhere?

Thanks.

No, at least never seen any sign in the game internals to support this assumption.

Well, yes - but I wouldn't say 'needed'. Exp flows directly into the class(es) practised and the char level is then a consequence of the(se) class level(s). So if already one class is level 100 your char level is level 100 for sure.
However it should be possible to level your classes as long as they are below level 100, your real char level would be some/much above 100 but it's just capped at level 100.

By the way, to pick up the numbers form the initial post, with 4 classes each at level 83 the final char level 'only' would be level 97 as effect of the non-linear exp curve all heroes are liable to.

Let's assume once you invest for one class twice as much time than for a 2nd class then such a hero had his primary class ~5 levels below the character level and the secondary class would be ~10 levels below the character level.
This happens in similar way for these dual-classed chars in the DS2 addon (where automatically 30% of the exp flows into the 2nd class), there however the two classes are 4 and ~12 levels lower compared to the char level.
And in case somebody would invest the same amount of time for two classes equally, each of them would be 7 or 8 levels below the char level.
These differences are very steady for a large level scope, of course they are lower for low-levelled chars but they become quite reliable above char level 40.

So the exp you would need from level 99 to 100 will give you much more than just 10 levels for another class - it's rather about 75. ;)

.
Totally modded.

Thanks for the explanation and the exp table!
