I searched the Forum and while I found topics related, they did not had the answer.
1- Stun and Silence: It has come to my atention that some monsters seem to be immune to these. Casting the Silence Power or attacking for a large time with a 40% Stun chance has no effect on them, not only bosses but also some random regular monster-heroes. Is there a formulae for char/skill/power level vs monster level or something? Or is it simply that some pre-defined monsters are immune to these effects? I mean, my char/skill level is not high enough or they are just immune?
2- Armor: How do I know if I'm protected better with an item with 100 armor and 5% physical resist bonus, or a 130 armor item? Is there anywhere a table with armor value and resistance effect?
Thanks.
Stun, Silence, and Armor
1 - as far as i know all boss monsters and main quest related monsters, the ones with yellow light around feet are 100% immune to stun and silence in their monster template, also a select few normal monsters are immune to silence in there monster template. but there are quite a few that arent immune.
2 - armor can tell by looking at character stats, and defense should change with each equip to compare try without armor and then with each of the other 2. i would bet on the 130, the 5% physical may look nice but still 95% will come through, and it still nothing compared to magical attacks. the 30 defense from 100 to 130 can make up for the lack of enchantments.

Thanks Darkelven for 1-.
About 2-, perhaps I didnt explain myself. I read somewhere in this Forum that the only effect of Armor is to reduce physical damage, much like melee and ranged resistances. So my question was, whats the function to know how much armor equals X% physical resistance. Im sure it is not a simple function, but perhaps someone here knows a reference to a values table or can give an aproximate calculation.
Something like: for equal monster and char level the first 100 armor=20%, the second 100 are +15% etc....

Approximately: If AdditionalArmorBonus divided by TotalArmorCurrently is greater than 0.05 then stick with the item giving the AdditionalArmorBonus otherwise prefer the other item with +5% physical resistance, supposed your hero is (only) facing melee or ranged damage in the future.
As Darkelven has pointed, a higher armor value helps you also against magical damage but physical resistance won't.
