Outraged!
So I hadn't played TQ in probably 6 months. Had 1 char in the low 70s, a couple 60s, several 40s. I started playing Sacred2, but kinda got bored with that in a couple weeks. Decided to re-install TQ and play with a buddy who'd just picked up TQ gold. Figured I'd show him the ropes and all. Well, I forgot how friggin GOOD this game is! Still looks phenomenal, sound is awesome, great build variety... well I'm sure I don't have to continue, you've all played it. Then the thought hit me. When's TQ2 coming out!? What about another expansion!? I want more! never. Iron Lore disintegrated. It's such bull.
So no point to this thread really, other than I'm angry and wanted to vent. Couldn't someone else pick up the IP? Can't somebody realize the talent that Iron Lore possessed, and do a 'reunion tour' thing or something? Do they see the fanbase the game has 3 years later? AAAAAAAAAA! (throw something and stomp away)

Unfortunately no one will touch Titan Quest again considering the copyright is in effect even though Iron Lore is dead.
Ticks me off too, especially since I was waiting for them to update the programming on the game to fix the rubber banding, but now we have to wait and see if the fan patch fixes it (if they even can).
But meh, that's life. Kind of their own downfall actually. I mean, due to the unbelievably crappy programming that invented a new type of lag, the game lost sales immediately. And because of this, they couldn't keep their lights on long enough to fix the problem.

There was an article somewhere about two ex Iron Lore employs starting their own company and they bought two licenses from publisher THQ... those licenses were games that Iron Lore made or was working on before they run out of money... so one project is something about action RPG for box called Black Legion... the other game that IL made, well i can't think of any except Titan Quest... if that's true, well it means, there is hope for Titan Quest 2
I'm loving Sacred 2 but I did enjoy titan quest too. I like the injection of more of the toons personality into sacred 2... And the graphics/3d Huge world.
Right Speech has four aspects: 1. Not lying, but speaking the truth, 2. Avoiding rude and coarse words, but using gentle speech beneficial to the listener, 3. Not slandering, but promoting friendliness and unity, 4. Avoiding frivolous speech, but saying only what is appropriate and beneficial.
Titan Quest still has a pretty active community, if that helps a bit...

Crate Entertainment formed by ex-ILE employees - Titan Quest Forums
Former Iron Lore employees created a new company called Crate, and a game called Black Legion is under construction. It will use the same basic gameplay as titan quest, but in a futuristic world, and will be available for xbox 360 and ps3 users somewhere around 2010. They might port it to PC too. There's a link to the full interview in the link on top

Actually, I e-mailed one of the people from Crate Entertainment, a company formed by people from Iron Lore. He told me that although Crate doesn't have the Capital to purchase TQ themselves, parties that were interested in buying the rights had come to Crate to ask about making a sequel. So, there is hope for Titan Quest in the future after all!
Sounds lovely, a sequal would be like the most awesome thing ever (unless they f*k up like NwN2).TwistofCain wrote:Actually, I e-mailed one of the people from Crate Entertainment, a company formed by people from Iron Lore. As it is now I keep on chillin through Titan Quest awaiting Diablo 3
