Dialogues

Post by Garena_sucks »

Occasionally in the game, there are dialogues between the party members. Sometimes they are quite witty, sometimes they are amusing. Anyways they are worth listening. But always when I am listening the dialogues some monster or creep comes and attacks disrupting the dialogues; even if they don't get disrupted my party is losing health. Any solution? Is there any place where I can actually read all these dialogues on the internet? Please help.

KillerGremal's Hotfix mod (for original DSII) or his Aranna Legacy mod (for Broken World expansion) (click here) fix this problem - if you are interrupted by enemies, the characters will reinitiate dialogues when the fighting is over, no matter how many times you're interrupted, until the dialogue is completed.

Aside from all the fixes, these mods also change about a hundred other gameplay features (mostly making the game harder by nerfing your character and strengthening enemies) so you would have to tweak the settings a bit to only get the dialogue fix.

That's the only thing I know of.

Thanks for the help Flix! You have always been helpful on this forum, and you quite deserve that extolled or exalted member thing. So many posts in less than a year that's quite something! Thanks for that hyperlink; those mods were quite interesting though I did not download anything other than Aranna legacy. Do you know any other mods which are worth taking. I saw some which help split Experience in ways other than BA or FOC. Though this may not give any other multiclass character, a ranger would surely do well with some melee strength and nature mage could do well if he/she has quickened casting with high level freeze chance. I am playing veteran with a new character. Last time I upgraded them by making them fight with melee or combat magic or assigning newer points. So I think I'll use those mods. But are they alright? I mean are they from good sources and worth using or can they contain some bugs themselves(sic!)? Once a fix had bugged my computer! :D

The only other mod I used was expanded storage, since I hoarded set items. It's available on that same site. There was one other site I used to get mods from to cheat (like better drops) but I'm too lazy to search for it.

I only had one bug with Aranna Legacy mod, and that was that the ??? monster who randomly appears and drops rare items would appear and then never go away. He'd follow my party around and harass them and I couldn't kill him. I asked KillerGremal about it and he said no one else has ever had this problem, so I would just try the mod anyway. If the mod makes the game too hard you can adjust the difficulty.

IMO he got a little carried away with tweaking gameplay features (read the readme file) but it fixes so many bugs that it's worth using. A major bugfix is that some Fist of Stone and Blood Assassin skills don't work - this is fixed in the mod.
