I climbed to the top of the demon wall!

Post by vagabond1066 »

I ran around the massive wall surrounding the demon realm, and climbed one of the stone "vines" that ran from the ground to the top. It was one the side closest to the Vale of Ruin. I felt like Jack climbing the beanstalk.

Other places I've mastered climbing on are:

The very tall wall in the beginning area next to Simon.

To the top of the castle ruins in Talendor

Roof running in Fargrove. The view is awesome. I love being on top of Alester's place.

Climbing to the top of a natural stone pillar when being chased by large packs of wolves is also a good idea. Then you can safely pick them off with ranged attacks.

How good are your climbing skills? How many different places have you climbed?

Well, I climbed all of them already except the fargrove roofs (but I managed to climb the roof in the Slum District and my brother once climbed into the Temple Catacombs before getting the key but he didn't manage to climb out again, so he had to load his game), and I also often climb a certain mountain in the south part of the Forbidden Lands. In fact, it's the easiest mountain to climb that I ever found - go to the entrance to the Black Moors and then hug the western mountain. Eventually there will be a lot of hills and an easy way to climb up, I always use this place to get past the stone heads. The reason for this is to get into Irynthabl where moonstones can be found (it's the only place other than Lost Lake that spawns moonbeasts). Also, it's possible to climb out of the black moors again somewhere at the south mountain but it takes a high amount of backflipping, patience and reloading to really get out of there, since if a bunch of harrowbarks spawns while you're trying to climb up there, you're hosed.

Uh, well, I can't say I've climed any of those accept the mountains by Simon, and entered into Fargrove from atop the mountains, where all there was on the inside was open land, haha. And when you ventured over to where you would enter the tunnel to go to the sewer, you could see all the goblins lined up, but I couldn't attack them. Then I went to the 'West gate' from inside and and actually entered Fargrove from the inside, thus skipping the whole sewer level. I did jump off the edge of the game once though, haha.

The second picture is outside Fargrove. I took it on top of the Shadow Ruins.
