Norton's chicken and caterpillar
Yes, this is Norton, the anti virus company I'm referring to. They just churned out a couple of new commercials that are... I'll let you judge for yourself

Oh, those are hysterical. I personally loathe Norton's line, which is basically a matter of repackaging what they've had every year since before the wheel was invented, but still....

It does a good job, agreed. It's just that--the last version touted the fact you would get smaller AV updates more frequently instead of larger ones once a day. This was the product's Big New Feature. And that wasn't just in their anti-virus program: it was their flagship Systemworks. They're literally **** out of ideas. Sad, really, when you consider how well thought of Norton was before the real Peter Norton sold it.Loki[D.d.G] wrote:Cute innit?
Anyway, Norton has actually been improving some. Its current AV program is miles better than the intrusive, bumbling ones of years past. But I still can't be bothered with it.![]()
But those ads? Damn funny. Just my kind of dry, off the wall humor. Kind of reminiscent of Stan Freberg's Dragonet takeoffs. Thanks for the links!

Those are great!
I tend to view Norton the same way I do most Microsoft products, Adobe etc.
Sure they're getting better, but they are still excessively bloated and always trying to play catch-up to far superior products that have been on the market a long time.

Liked the ads, hate Norton, and that aint gonna change. I still haven't forgiven them for destroying PC Tools, and every utility I've seen of theirs has been crap. Oh, and they aren't exactly trustworthy when it comes to renewing licenses either!

Heh, I got the funnies. So when is that fabled Gamebanshee commercial going to hit the masses?

Funny ads. But I haven't used Norton since their product allowed worms into my old comp. They can take a running jump over a steep cliff...

But that sounds wrong on so many levels...

Your innocence(regarding this at least) is safe fro the moment. my mind needed no help from you to get that out of the commercial.Loki[D.d.G] wrote:I maintain my innocence when originally making that post. Any unfortunate associations drawn from it are the product of a crooked mind.
It was kind of like those horrid PSA's from the 80's. You know what I mean, "Stop, GO and tell someone you trust" (shudders).
