Defeating Xindan
Defeating Xindan
In following Banshee's Walkthru for Chapter 7 - The Marauders...they give a sequence of conversation responses which will cause Xindan to die. However, after giving the correct response to the first eight, I never get to number 9 and have to fight. Is there a certain level of communication skill required here?????....and if so, what?
The dialogue options don't require any social talents. I thought they only required you to have read all of the diary fragments, but perhaps there is something else going on, too.

Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."
I think four is right. I'm not sure why you'd get the first eight answers available but not the last one. Did you talk to everybody in town?

I have all 4 fragments...I think I've talked to everyone important i.e the Mayor, the Merchant, the Deont, Ma Sweeting, etc....but I still don't get the 9th response "You still want to revive your wife".....and I can't seem to defeat Xindan and his crew. I guess I'm stuck unless there's a patch to fix this problem??? Any suggestions?

I'm pretty sure that part of the Marauders quest is optional, so you can always do some other stuff for a while and then come back to it.
