The angry dwarf group at waukeen's

Post by Nayl »

After several tries, I came up with a strategy to get all the loot off of these disrespectful NPCs without using traps. I used only Jeihra, and my F/M/T straight out of prison (ok I stole some scrolls in town--but that's it).

1. Go adv invis and pick-pocket everything you can from all NPCs in the room (those potions get annoying). Use quick save after every successful pp to save time if you fail.

2. Stack your defensive and summoning spells. Few offensive spells have the lasting affects needed, but buffs help a lot.

3. Summon as much poop as you can (woodland beings can be helpful if NPCs fail their saves), cast str of one (then holy might or something to get 20+ on main), defensive harmony, bless and haste on the group. Adv invis, blur, mirror image, ghost armor, stoneskin, and shield are a minimum for mages.

4. Get off one big spell to weaken the NPCs before they attack, I like vampiric touch since it temporarily adds to my health. Cast it on the guy up top and have everyone attack him first. If you don't kill him quick or block his exit, he leaves.

5. Send one of your summoned beings or a weaker fighter to fight the mage 1-on-1. This will disrupt his spells more often.

6. Use the few individual target spells you have to attack the dwarf, he's damn hard to hit. Use any potions of speed or giant str to conter the slow effects of hast wearing off or str of one going down.

7. Use xheal potions as needed (I used 3) while attacking the dwarf and ignoring the berserker. Once the dwarf is dead, the mage should also be down, so put everyone left on the berserker (I only had 2 ppl).

8. Kill him and use the wand of lighting that you pickpocket from the mage on pooky.

Make sure to disarm the trap on the chest in the middle of the room. You get all the loot and some decent xp.

Much easier way.

Run circus quest, get aerie and web spell from body or the flowerpots in staircase room

recharge wand of cloud kill in store.

go to room, cast about 3-4 webs, they won't get hostile, and fill room with 3 cloudkills. wait, and pick up loot.

sigh, how hard is this?

Use same tactic in bridge district to get boomerang dagger in delosar inn.

Run in, fire Spell Sequencer with three Skull Traps, mop up Mencar, the only survivor. :)

Crush enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of the women.

Ned, shame on you!

Cannot fire 3 abu dahzim, yet cause they are all blue!

I know you are a good cheese whiz, like me, but you have to remember your responsibility as a cheeser...

a true cheeser takes advantage of every loop hole in the game for thier own benefit. that means knowing all the rules in the game to a much greater extent than the average soa grunt type, so you are NOT allowed to make too many mistakes about spells and other stuff.

anyway, you may be for given this once.

Oh yeah, my favorite way was to use prot from evil and sent in pit fiend!

their cries of assistance was pathetic!

Once again, pit fiends rule!

Actually, it would be a nice overpower kill to cast alacrity, timestop, wail of the banshee and dragon breath on the poor guys. But then probably the inn would disapear.

I prefer the mage fireing line. For those who have seen the horrible DnD movie, remember the part where the Mages fire all those fireballs at the dragons? Well, it's kind've like that. Just for the hell of it, I SK a multi party of level 20 mages. All had Spell Sequencer and three fireballs loaded up. I stood them by the entrance to the room, paused, and let them all go at once.I think I caused an average of about 200-250 damage to each one of them!

Toatsy... :D

eh, well the point was that I was playing from the beginning with no cheats (or cheese i.e., web/c.kill) right out of prison.

Most of what you guys suggested has no 'thought' behind it, no real strategy, and no challenge. Of course I can edit in a lvl 20 sorc and solo the place--but that isn't much fun.

When I killed them, I used a strategy of taking the first one out with missiles and magic, then flee to the ground floor and wait for his friends. Some came, and I killed them. Then I went back up (with a healthy party) and took the remainig out. JI suppose I was lucky.

Then is evil clone firing line.

need one mage or sorc, with major kill-o-Zap spells, like skull traps...

4 project image spells, 1 chain cont. memorized.

cast chain, condition helplass, project imagex3
cast project image, this triggers chain, and you have 4 images. set all to cast many many spells, and come in later after images and people dead.

OR
alternatively you could just beat them up with weapons

Proposterous (this word is almost as bad as Sulldanesselar which I think I misspelled again)) ain't it?

I mean, where's the fun in using cheese? It gets you messy.
