Release Date Nov. 3 for the US!

Post by Scottg »

Yeah!

Thought this thing would never be produced. Considering how long it's taken with as many push-back dates as it has had..

-it better be worth it! :D

Wow. Hadn't realized this forum originally opened in '04 for this game.

I saw the game a few months ago online and preordered it and here I was bummed out about a delay from October to November..lol.

One of my Warcraft guildmates said his girlfriends dad is involved with the game and what he's heard/seen was really good. I've got high hopes for this one and can't wait for the 3rd.

It's the 6th here, so won't be making plans that weekend... :)

6 here as well. I got a chance to play 15 minutes of the game at our rage gaming expo. From what I played the game will be great, can't wait for 6 November.

What were you able to tell from playing the game for only 15 minutes? Just curious.

It feels much more like BG 2 then any other game that I have played since BG 2. I can't give real reasons as to why, its just the way it felt when playing. I already love the mabari dog.

I played the human noble origin. Only fought some rats. Didn't have enough time to check out many of the options.

If it plays like BG2, I will send the developers a cookie. :)

That's because BioWare announced the game ages ago. The development cycle was around five to six years.

I'm really excited to play this after Buck's preview. I'm having trouble sitting still in just knowing that it's less than two weeks away!

Hopefully it doesn't disappoint.

Looks like its going to be an across the board buy here at this house...
Son-in-law wants the PS3 version....
daughter wants the PC....hers is the only machine in the house that will handle it.....jealous...:mischief:
and I'll probably get the Xbox version......unless I can pry the PC away..

these buys depend upon reading reviews from GameBanshee members....

And I'd much rather share my experience with the GameBanshee members instead of the little kids that pollute the DA social site.

I think I might try to keep a diary of first impressions and thoughts as I play. For myself and for anyone interested.

Thanks Cren....
I'm one of those people that usually wait awhile before I buy....and get reviews from people I know....my last few, I've actually waited months before I've laid down my money for them, either trying them out at friends or renting to see if they suit my play interests.......
just wish I had waited before I bought that last DLC for Mass Effect...now that was a waste of my money .... enjoyed the game but that last one :(

Only 2 more days!

I think I'll wait for the reviews from others as well however.. :o

Perhaps not so much on the game aspect, but rather on the system requirements aspect. My computer is 2+ years old now, and with a few exceptions I didn't stuff it with anything even close to "cutting-edge" back then. On the other hand I was told NWN2 wouldn't work, and it has worked surprisingly well.. so who knows, maybe my "classic" computer will be able to muddle through this game? (..though I suspect more "choke" than "toke".) :(

Every review I've read say the PC version is much better than the console versions

Every review I've read to date (three, per Metacritic) was written by someone with the critical skills and enthusiasm of a small yap dog. So that doesn't argue well for anything they might say, if you follow me.
