Den Kids stealing my stuff *Spoilers

Post by sonny »

I just got to Den, walking around checking things out and these little rug rats are stealing me blind.
Have a saved game before I got here.

Any way to stop this short of killing them:mischief:

Thanks
Sonny :) :)

PS Sorry to bother you guys again so soon.
They turned me loose from the nervous hospital. Said I was well.

Can't remember any way to actually stop them stealing besides killing, but there is a way to get your stolen property back. The first one is to check your inventory every time you pass those kids, and if they have stolen anything (you know which one did the stealing from the animation) just steal the items back.

Second method I haven't actually confirmed, But there is one merchant to who kids take their loot. You should be able to buy back (or steal) everything you were stolen from him. Check here for the map of The Den West side, the merchant is at the room number 7.

I have an even better solution. Just before you pass them, go into combat mode. Make sure you walk all the way past them in a single turn. Once you're inside, exit combat mode. Voila. :)

In one discussion on this forum some time ago it was suggested that if you have a gun equipped, they don't steal from you.I don't know if that's correct.

Otherwise, if you're evil, just kill them, if you're good, pickpocket your stuff back from them, they'll never turn hostile as far as I remember.

And about that merchant - whenever the kids steal sth. from you they'll almost immediately run to him and you can buy your stuff there. So it's better to pickpocket them back instead of wasting money.

P.S.
I think that if you kill one of them, others won't steal anymore.

I seem to recall that with Killap's Restoration, you can do a quest to make them stop stealing.

Thanks everyone. Man those kids are a pain in the butt.

Sorry it took so long to reply. Took my grandson to a Penn State Football game, just got home. They won 20-0

Completely off topic, but do you mean American Football, or real Football? :p In the first case, I have no idea what 20-0 means. In the latter, one hell of an impressive victory. :D
