Viconia dual wielding.
I was fiddling around with Viconia (who wouldn't?) at lvl 24. Now, which one seems most appealing?
Flail of Ages main hand, Crom Faeyr off hand. Thac0=0 main, -2 off hand.
Crom Faeyr main hand, Flail of Ages off hand. Thac0=-4 main hand, 2 off hand.
Flail of Ages, shield and Belt of Stone Giant Strength (20 Strength). Thac0=0.
Crom Faeyr, shield. Thac0 -6.
Think it would pay off to have Viconia dual wield? She loses some armor from the shield, but attacks twice with a lower Thac0.

I think you should have her dual wield Flail of Ages in the main hand the Defender of Easthaven in the offhand. Crom Fayer's strength bonus is wasted on her as she can easily get that through Righteous Magic. If you buff her with the priest spells she has, you'll have a pretty mean fighter on your hands.

It's up to you and your playstyle. Personally, I think it's not that good of a weapon, aside from golem slaying.

25 STR does very nasty things and should not be overlooked. As far as offhand bonuses go, there are few weapons that come close to Crom. That being said, you should probably give it to whoever makes the most out of the monster strength. Remember that offhands will only have 1 attack and they are primarily used for the bonuses they grant so don't fuss too much over actual offhand damage. Viconia, as said above, may not be the best choice for Crom since she will easily reach 25 STR through Righteous Magic.

There's just no point in trying to give Viconia a damage dealer role in your party. For one thing, she needs to cast all those imba spells of hers but most of all, she has NO attack speed whatsoever. My Viconia (I'm playing right now. Again. ^^) is level 35 with -11 AC, constant 23 str and I use girdle of fortitude to buff her constitution to 18 then I remove it and put str belt on again. I got all the other imba gear in the game as well and she's still no good at fighting. There's no way she can tank anything, and why should she?
The main point here is: It doesn't matter how much damage you got if you don't get to deal it.
Viconia doesn't get to deal it due to: 1. busy casting spells. 2. No attack speed. 3. Dies too quickly (no hp).
Use her to buff your real fighters first, spell damage second, attack damage only if everyone are buffed, healed and you can't damage with spells (and maybe in between spells of course

Darth, the way the game works you get a maximum of 1 attack per round with your offhand, and more attacks with your mainhand (up to a theoretical maximum of 9, although I don't think you can reach that without haste cheats).
Not only does Flail of Ages provide the highest damage per attack of any one-hander in the game, the elemental damage part of Flail of Ages ignores things like Stoneskins and other protection spells. This means it hurts enemies like dragons, liches, and Demogorgon (where every point of damage matters) right off the bat, even before breaches or other protection removing spells are cast.
Crom Faeyr's 'on hit' effect is very powerful and comes in very handy against certain types of enemies. But note it instantly kills, no save. So one single hit is enough.
So when you have a choice between multiple attacks with the Flail and one attack with Crom Faeyr, or multiple attacks with Crom Faeyr and one attack with the Flail, choose the first, by putting the Flail in main and Crom in off.
On one of my playthroughs as evil I actually let Viconia use this combo. But I agree with other posters, her attacks per round table will never be very amazing, so having her use the Flail instead of a fighter is probably a waste of an amazing weapon.
What I did was SK her to a multiclass fighter/cleric. The slower THAC0 progression (compared to pure fighter) was easily compensated by the 25 STR. Imo this is the best dualwield dps combo in the unmodded game if you disregard defensive stats.

You now bear the awesome responsibility of the Metal "Unit". Gussets of wind, seams like reality, pockets of resistance, the seat of power, and legs as flared as your temper. Polish it well; the onus is now on you.
