The problem is that the people with the most ridiculous ideas are always the people who are most certain of them.

Can you provide some examples of these?Curry wrote:I was able to fix the sound/subtitle bug by turning off DirectX sound acceleration.
The game is still full of other bugs though

Sure. Lip sync doesn't work, I've seen NPCs get stuck and run without moving, sometimes in combat the combat AI simply stops working and my NPCs just stand and take damage like idiots, once the screen went black but the mouse cursor still appeared.fable wrote:Can you provide some examples of these?

The lip syncing isn't good, but this isn't a bug. It's just not especially well done, and I suspect that's because they intend to use the same graphical modeling for all language versions.Curry wrote:Sure. NPCs getting stuck and briefly running in place? Not really a bug as much as momentary pathing issues.
Black screen could be a video card problem, and you should check the Bioware forums about yours.
...But if your party NPCs just stand in place and suddenly stop isomg their scripts while you've got them turned on, that does sound like a bug.

I've noticed a few times after turning on the HOLD feature to position my party and then turning it off to allow FREE movement, that they don't follow. I've had to switch to HOLD/FREE a couple of times or move them up individually to my main character. Not a huge issue and only a couple of times that's happened.
Oh, and don't forget to the the HOLD off when combat starts..lol.
