Do you save up your skill points?

Post by Ragin Cajun »

I'm curious, as I was looking at one of my low characters today, that I can't access the second tier skills until level 4 (currently level 3). Do any of you save up your points and then put in 2+ points on the next level or just put in what you can even if it's not a skill you want?

I save up my points. I don't see the value in buying a skill I won't use.
The waves came crashing in like blindness.
So I just stood and listened.

Yes you can save anything you want (skill, attribute and talent points) to use later. A little plus sign will show up next to your character until everything has been assigned. Ditto for party members.

What's really important is that your class level still goes up even if you don't assign anything, so this doesn't effect your party members. They will be at your class level and you'll be able to assign their points however you like. The only rub is that you are stuck with whatever they had already assigned when they joined your party. But you are in full control after that.

You also don't have any control over the party member's primary specialization. That's hardwired. All you can decide is whether or not to choose any unassigned talents/spells in that chain when they unlock.
