Best Armor for DW Warriors? *minor spoilers*

Post by Solusek »

I've just completed my first run through the game and started a new one as dual-wield warrior now. The question is, how to equip him?

At first I thought it'd be good to equip him pretty rogue-like, similar to my first char which was a DW rogue. This means a lot of crit gear, light armor, etc.

The more I play however the more I think what's really important for a dual-wield warrior is stamina/stamina regeneration and fatigue. All the dual wield talents have a pretty short cooldown and do a **** ton of dmg. The sustained abilities are awesome too.

My new course now is to forget about crits and instead focus on direct damage and armor penetration using Dual Striking and Momentum for as long as possible.

Now to my actual question. Could this actually be the best armor for DW warriors by far? Lots of stam regeneration, decent armor, and way more fatigue reduction than consumption.

Opinions please!

Definitly not.
My DW Warrior went with the Superior Dragonbone plate, which does offer stamina regen and reduced cost. If you have Warden's Keep, the Commander's Armour is also a good choice.

Sorry, I don't mean to offend you or anything but your response shows that you don't have a clue. It's simple math.

Wade's Superior Dragonbone Plate Armor fatigues you a total of 35.1 points while it only reduces your fatigue by a mere -10%. So you're left with 25.1% fatigue for all three pieces.

Wade's Superior Dragonskin Armor however fatigues you only 12.68 points while reducing your fatigue by 25%(!) which leaves you with roughly -12.3% fatigue. That's 38.4%(!!!) LESS fatigue and thus 38.4% less cost for talents.

The Warden Commander Armor
also causes a lot more fatigue than it actually reduces. Exact values depend on the material.

I have to admit, when I clicked your link I read "Wade's Drakeskin" armour and went with the assumption that it was the one that gave +2 DEX. My mistake.
Since the Dragonskin armours all have the same stats apparently, the lighter armour is the better choice, like you said.

One more thing: never apologize when math shows you're right. ;) Some people at Gamebanshee's are allergic to it, but I'm not one of them.
