Two questiions:
1) Which games fall in your idea o RPG? Please give at least two names.
2) How in your opinion DA:O should had been made?
You are only tellin that they did that and that wrong. What would have been the correct way then?
Not to piss on anyone's picnic but.....
until people learn some comprehension I am ignoring any and all questions and or statements like this because I clearly explained eactly what I thought they did wrong, how I thought it was wrong, changes that could have been made, and how those changes could have been implimented to make this an all around good adventure, as well as how the whole outcome would have been.Kipi wrote:Two questiions:

People think this is good for how it is, which is fine I am not disputing that, I am disputing that this is one of those things that people think it's good because they are blind to the fact changes would have made this correct, and this goes on until they understand how the changes would make it correct, and once the light dawns, they can actually see how this is not put together they way it could have been to actually make it truly good.
For the record I have explained this at least 5 times in this thread.
You explained what they did wrong somewhat: too much dialogies, too less freedom. I meant how should the story advance? Videos? Also, how much freedom would have been the correct ammount? And what should have been increased to make it game, not just interactive tactical adventure?tx3000 wrote:until people learn some comprehension I am ignoring any and all questions and or statements like this because I clearly explained eactly what they did wrong, how it was wrong, cahnges that could have been made and hwo those changes could have been implimented into the game, as well as how the whole outcome would have been.

Also, the lack of us for not getting answer to the other question surely isn't because of lack of comprehension, as you never gave any.

I've never played Summoner, so I can't do that for you. Perhaps you could explain though? I've never seen a computer game that has allowed you to completely alter the main story or ignore it and then have an ending, such as you would like to do with Dragon Age in not joining the Grey Wardens. You could tarry off elsewhere doing side quests or in say, Morrowind, drop your documents for Caius Cosades and then murder him, thus never following the story as it was planned, but you cannot then complete the game after that. You do it, or you don't do it and don't arrive at an end. That's how it has been in all the computer RPG's that I have played.tx3000 wrote:Then explain how Summoner was able to do this and that was basically a PS2 Console game.
Seems to me you've decided you don't like DA:O, so no one else should either! loltx3000 wrote:People think this is good for how it is, which is fine I am not disputing that, I am disputing that this is one of those things that people think it's good because they are blind to the fact changes would have made this correct, and this goes on until they understand how the changes would make it correct, and once the light dawns, they can actually see how this is not put together they way it could have been to actually make it truly good.
Don't think you know all the answers.
NO i am saying that no one here should be saying something is great when they have nothing really to compare it to because they are making blind judgements soley based off of only what they know.Seems to me you've decided you don't like DA:O, so no one else should either! lol
So instead of stepping back and saying ok there are 2 things here A and B, and since I only know what is in A and not B, maybe I should get the infromation out of B then compare botyh B and A to each other before trying to present a one sided arguement with someone who has the infromation from both A and B.
Any normal person knows that information from A and B over rides anyone who only has information from just A.
And too bad people here think that all they need is what's in A.
Sorry but if there was a situation where it came down to trusting someone who only knew A and trusting someone who knew both A and B, a lot of people here would be screwed. But what is going on here is people here only have the information from A only, while I have the information from both A and B.
Sorry you gotta have all the information in front of you before making a proper decision not just the information from one source.
I'll let you in on something:Also, the lack of us for not getting answer to the other question surely isn't because of lack of comprehension, as you never gave any.
Minus very few things, Dragon Age Origins is literally almost a carbon copy of Summoner and it's the only game that can really be compared to DAO in how it's set up because it's the only game that has literally almost the same exact set up that Dragon Age Origins Copied
So here is your answer, go play Summoner on the PS2, and you will see exactly how a story driven adventure is supposed to be put together.
Go play Summoner at least 3/4 of the way through, and you will have your answer.
This now is not me telling you anything is fact or trying to force my opinions onto you, this is me giving you something to use that is a solid comparison, so you can see the results for yourself.
I tolerated the existence of this topic for the sake of legitimate discussion for a while, but it is now clear to me that the conversation is not going anywhere of value. If anyone wants to pursue the topic, take the back-and-forth to private messages.
