Happy Birthday. :)
''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price

So, who gets to slaughter the goat this year? I have dibs on singing the offering hymn, those occultist robes are the bee's knees.

Happy birthday, fable. :)

I was curious. How do you keep track of them all? I was thinking perhaps an abacus, but then I thought otherwise. It would have to be the size of a 2 bedroom home in an Atlanta suburb! :speech:

You know, this is possibly one of the extremely rare occasions where i would agree to be The Very-Barely-Clothed Dark Priestess! :D After all, we have to humour our Babylonian God...

Thanks, all! Yes, I made it another year without getting killed by outraged patriots, fundamentalists, or zombified spambot owners. It's neat! :)

You just lack vision, old son. You're having trouble counting above your fingers and toes. Get yourself more fingers, more toes! Will solve a lot. After all, it works for many congresspeople, and it could work to your advantage, too! ;)
So, who gets to slaughter the goat this year? I have dibs on singing the offering hymn, those occultist robes are the bee's knees.
Don't forget the tandoor spicing. I'd hate to have to slaughter the lot of you because of a ritual indiscretion. :D

And by the way, what is each of you getting me for my birthday?

Come on. Cough it up. And I don't mean hairballs, either.

I don't know. I've always been told I was pretty decent in...oh. That wasn't what you meant, was it? Let's see: not very good, but I can get from point A to point B without falling over. Why? Did you buy me the Kremlin?

Nothing. I just want to prepare you for imminent Canadian invasion. :)

Can you drive a horse?

Happy Birthday Fable!

I'll send a sacrifice of wailing virgins your way, with extra wailing. ;)

With white sidewalls and a decent radio, yes.

Actually, I took a course in English style riding over 20 years ago, but never made any use of it. By now, I'm probably about as good on a horse as Charleston Heston is.

Thanks! I can use all the virgins! The wailing is purely optional. I'm not very picky that way. :)

Dead people are really not so good at riding horses, I know. Unless they are undead horses of course. You don't beat a dead horse.

I was hoping someone would catch that, but you never know, up here. :D Not to mention that several people could have friendly ties to a zombified Heston.

And there are numerous politicians and religious leaders, people thought very well of in society at large, who beat dead horses all the time. Sad, really.

No, definitely not nice enough. Which is why I require presents. I need incentive.

LOL!

Well, since Tricky started the Canadian theme, I can send you some real maple syrup. (Not the Aunt Jemima fake you use in the USA).
