New party

Post by Pellinore »

My first NPC mod (first mod period) and I'm using Xan. Need advice on final party member. I like full parties with banter. Here is who I have:

PC> Berserker
Yoshi
Vicki
Nalia
Xan> Ftr/mage
?> Need input

I left Jah & Minsc to rot so they are out of the equation.

I'll asume you've played before and know the Yoshimo story line .......... ;)

PC is a tank Xan can be a tank if he's a Fi/Ma (never played the mod)
Xan and Nailia as spell casters, plus ............
Vicki for divine casting and can tank

Basically you have no real needs, IMO, so whoever intersts you the most.

Auren Aseph is a G3 mod that will romance Nailia which could be very interesting (never played her) she's a dual weilding fighter if memory serves.
:) Once again time to give someone the boot to make room for Coran. LOL :)

Seems to me that you could lack a bit divine power in the tougher parts of the game, maybe try anomen? An other useful edition would be Hear'dalis. He is a very powerful player if used in the correct way.

If you're looking for a party member who'll provide interesting banter, you definetely want to keep Imoen after spellhold, her dialogue with Xan is really good. But before that i really don't know, i played Xan with Jaheira and Minsc :D

If you follow QuenGalad's advice and keep Imoen you're going to be mage overkill, which would make the game far too easy, three mages acting in unison will trash everything in their path.

Is your character human and intending to dual class?

If it's a male and non human then presumably you're following the Vicki romance; are you a good guy trying to save her soul (dumping Jaheira and Minsc implies not)?

Obviously the best NPC for banter is Jan, but that really would make the game a stroll in the kindergarten! If you decide Imoen should come along, and dump Nalia, then Valygar and Mazzy have some amusing interplay, not sure how that unfolds long term though.

Doesn't he need to take her with him, he wants a full party and

*spoiler*

When you reach spellhold with Yoshi he will be gone and there wil be 2 openings in the play???
