choosing class

Post by Uvinity »

I'm new in the world of Mass Effect and I was wondering if you guys could give me some tips.

I really like to here your opinion in what the best class is to start of the first time. I personally always anjoy to play with a well prepared char who can easely beat up monsters so I was thinkin about maybe playing soldier.
But at the other hand vanguard also really atracts me cause of the fact you can do both magical damage and be a very well armed char.

so I would like to here your opinion in this.
How should a world without games look like?
I think it would really be lame.

If you like a strong class the Soldier is a safe bet, you get more armour and more weapon options than any other. So if you want the toughest class I would pick that.
But the damage capabilities of the different classes are not that different. And it is fun to throw around your enemies, so I would rather go for a Vanguard or an Adept. Even though they don't have the armour or the fitness talent wich gives a good hit point boost.
The only reason people get lost in thought is because it's unfamiliar territory.

personally i would choose a soldier first just so you can get a hang of wats going on and then on the second run through get an infultrator with the assult riffle bonus talent (providing you got the achivment for 150 kills with an assult riffle) and then play through like that.

Tnx. Really apreciate those replies.

I think I will pick a soldier first, maybe shoot 'm up with a shotgun or something like that :D . And later on I can pick maybe vanguard or infiltrator.

If you like sniping, the Infiltrator class might be your thing. The closest thing you have for traps is the different adept or engineer powers. Pretty much, the classes just offer different powers in three categories: combat, tech, and the magic-like powers.

I think you can only get upgrades for your sniping skill as either the Soldier or Infiltrator class. The Soldier just gets pure combat upgrades, while the Infiltrator can upgrade sniping and gets a bunch of tech powers.
If nothing we do matters, then all that matters is what we do.

I just got this game as well. I am thinking about making a character that can fight well up close, but at the same time can debuff the enemies. Any thoughts.

Oh and what does the adept's skill warp mean when it says lowers enemies damage protection? does that mean that they take more damage from your guns and melee attacks?
