Import Problem

Import Problem

So I have recently played through this game again and I want to continue it all the way to end of ToB but I have encountered a small problem. I got to the end and it makes its final save and all that jazz. The problem is when I go to import my save from BG1 to BG2 I cant find my character file. I have gone to BG1 Character files and mine is not there and I cant find any saved files either. I have searched for it and can't find it. I have found shortcuts to my save game and character file, aka, Char1. CHR and but can't the actualy file. Any help in finding it so I can get on with playing the game would be much appreciated! Thanks!
