How to become an Assasin

Post by tuklman »

I was wondering how to become an Assasin.

I know that Zevran can tech you that if you have enough approval with him but is there another way?
I have read somewhere that you can buy a Assasin manual in Elven Alienage in Denerim but I could not get access there because the gate is closed.

Any ideas plz? :(

Not sure if you can get it in the Alienage but that zone opens at the end of the game. This is after you call for the Landsmeet with Arl Eamon. You should have quite a few quests to do in the Alienage when you get to that part of the game.

I'm not sure, but you might be able to buy the manual from the "Crow" stock that one of the sellers in the Marketplace allows you to view once you have finished all the Crow assassination side-quests.

The page that describes you might be able to get it at the Alienage is here:

Assassin - The Dragon Age Wiki - Dragon Age, characters, creatures, and more

It did NOT work for me however.

1. I couldn't get the seller to give me the time of day before completing the Alienage main quest, and
2. Even when I could he didn't offer it. Neither once the Landsmeet had started (which is neccesarily a prerequiste unless you have the city elf origin), nor even after the landsmeet (but before the final chapter after heading back to Redcliff).

IF perhaps you are a City Elf, and possibly a City Elf that is a Rogue, THEN it may well happen, but otherwise I doubt it. And besides, it's so far into the game that it's nearly worthless (..for that game anyway).

I also checked other sellers including Ceaser - your "Crows" seller, both regular and "special" equipment - and he doesn't have it either. Nor does Bohdan at any point, nor any other seller I could find.

I was never able to buy it from the Crows, but have always seen it available from the elf in the Alienage.

With what type of character/race and when?

He did however have a skill point tome when I checked. Both after the landsmeet start and after the landsmeet itself. (..potentially useful for the getting the landsmeet to work-out better.)

I remember that I had an elven mage at the time.

That's what I had.. Sometimes I'd swear we are playing just slightly different games!
