Planescape and Vista 64

Let me just start by saying ARGHHH!! I got a problem, a problem I seem unable to fix, and thats why I am here, hoping to get some much needed help.

I'll get started. The bug I have is this : the screen flashes, and flashes alot. So much it would give people with eplepsy seizures. And the worst part is, I had this exact problem with Bg1, aswell as bg2, exact same type of flashing, I managed to fix it on bg2 by mixing with the video option, and bg1 by using a mod which played bg1 in bg2 engine and then just copying the exact same video options there.

I've tried every possible combination ingame in planescape, bearly helps, the most fruitful thing is to have the top 2 options selected, that keeps the main window from flashing, but everything else flashes (the side bar, character screen etc) aswell as certain objects like to flash in a sort of frozen state and stick around on my screen. Obviously this aint playable, so if anybody has any suggestion please help.

I have tried running it as administrator, aswell as trying all the compatibility modes. I also downloaded the offical patch 1.1. The things said above didn't work, infact the game wouldn't even run in half of those compatibility modes.

While I think there are some problems running the game in Vista 64, it sounds like you're having problems with a lot of old Infinity Engine games, too. What's your graphics card? Newer models have varying degrees of issues with IE games.

Yeah I seem to have a problem with the infinity games

which is a shame, because the Baldurs Gate series and Planescape Torment are my favorite games and I love playing thru them every now and then. I also got the icewind dale games lying around, haven't tried them on this pc (bought this pc about 7months ago or so) they are probably going to have the same problem, but the game I really wanna play now is Planescape:/

Seems I've gotten the game to work, decently atleast:O The flashing has stopped but it's slightly glitchy, abit "hacky" in a way I can't really articulate, but playable atleast.
