Game for a six year old

Erm... I just whacked it with my sword first time, and with my flame enhanced axe second time. I ate a lot of apple pie and drank several health potions each time, but I got the bugger ok. Second time, I even got one of the merchants through! :laugh:

Hi Flojtsdale!

I might recommend the Knights of the Old Republic series, if he's ever enjoyed Star Wars. Character dialogue from NPCs comes with them saying it as well, so it helps with the reading, and those parts you do not hear words for are not overly hard, depending on his reading level.

Plus, it of course has the moral rewards system and the worst thing it has sexually in it is you kissing Bastila -- and the screen even goes dark for that! Your son actually has to follow the romance line to the end to hit that though, and that can get awkward so he can always opt out of it.

The second KotOR isn't as good and has some double entendres, but that's basically it. The worlds of the first KotOR are a lot more interesting and bright. Also, there's no real blood that I remember in it, just thunks and "unhs" and the odd scream as you take someone out. It is a T game for violence though.

It may be a little bit scary at some points, though. The Kashyyyk forest is very misty and dark, for example. Might be worth waiting a bit for that one. Are you looking specifically for PC games?

My grandson does like Star Wars, so maybe Knights of the Old Republic may be just the thing, especially since you say any reading is not overly hard. I'll check it out.
And I won't even think of KotOR2; thanks for the advice. He is only six and doesn't like very scary. I have to do the scarier parts of Oblivion for him - and that includes dark places, misty places, and places with too many attackers... But he IS only six!
On the other hand, he doesn't like 'baby' games appropriate for his age...

Yes, only PC. He has a DSLite and plays racing games on that - Mario mostly. He isn't into puzzles games like Professor Layton, Lost in Blue, etc. I play those on my DSLite.

Then you might have to add 'Use of Drugs' description together with the list of other description given to this game.

The only consolation I can give is that it will stay as an M-rated game despite this 'addition'.

Look, porn is not really good for kids, especially when they are six years old

And maybe your grandson likes the Pokémon games, they don't really got oblivion elements, but they've got some RPG-elements and they're child-friendly (If you haven't got a gameboy, you can always download an emulator)

Thanks for your input, Revan. But there is no porn in Oblivion or the official expansions. Just rather too much violence, theft and murder (not that my grandson is even aware of the theft and murder storylines!)

And no, I can't download an emulator; 1/ I wouldn't know how 2/ this poor little computer has enough stuffed into it's memory already!

If the game is too violent for his age then I guess you should refrain him in playing it but if he really wants to play it is much better to have a parental guidance with him. When he is playing then make sure you are there to explain things
