You need to download Rylorn and the Undying then.
One of your first acts with Rylorn to keep him with your party is to go to the Radiant Heart and kill all the Paladins, it was a great fight, I killed all the squires, the cleaning guy and the cook.
Take heart fellow adventurers, for you have curried the favor of Boo, The only miniature giant space hamster in the Realm.
Awww...! Is it voiced? Is it for TOB too?Hamster ranger wrote:Stuff

CONSOLE COMMANDS! NOOOOOO. Just learn loads of spells. Kick everyone out of your party (unless you're romancing them) tell them to wait where they are, leave yourself and Imoen. Get Imoen drink a potion (the +3 int +3 wis one) and get memorising those spells! Ten level eight spells is a large chunk of XP. After some serious spell memorisation, she'll be strong enough. Rather than cheat in the XP, personally, I'd rather cheat in the potion and the spells (assuming you had those spells) and do it that way. At least then it's half legit.

Note that the following may offend feminists and PC types.
And note that my view on those three in no way represents the Gamebanshee Forums' general view, nor do the Forums encourage or endorse chauvinism, verbal or physical abuse of women, or any of the views expressed by that crazy Viking fellow Edar Macilrille.
Further, Edar Macilrille, whose real name is Palle Rasmussen, would never lay hand on a Lady or verbally abuse her (Edited to add, he has in fact shown himself willing to sacrifice his own life to save a woman's). His view is solely an expression of his perception of the Biogals, not on real women. When he meets that type of woman RL (which is quite frequently- hence my view of them) he just shakes his head and walks away.
There you go, now I spoke frankly and I accept my warning.
In any case, back to OP's question, as should be evident. I would recommend kicking Jaheira or any other Biogal, there are so many good mod NPCs that you do not have to put up with the ingame ones. If you would not RL, why should you ingame?
But then, I like Jan Jansen's banter, my parties are mostly put together for max effectiveness in melee with a sorceror and a priest as backup, so I have only found room for him once, but his banter is... hilarious and extreme.... Same with Minsc, he is a great tank, but Valyagar can be just as good. He just is not as much fun as Minsc.
I think I will want to have Jan in in next game.
Sorry Fable, I needed to vent...

you usually warn me when I call Jaheira a bitch, even when using b*tch, which I have to restrain myself not to do all the time. Something about the forum not being percieved as endorsing chauvinism, and I know that saying she is bitching as I did here, and a bitch are two subtly different things. I understand and accept the warning, but that does not change my mind, so here is something unsubtle to warn me about:fable wrote:Why should I warn you? You married her. She puts up with you; you have to put up with her. It's the perfect ****up made in heaven.
Spoiler
Jaheira = Bossy and unstable Bitch
Viconia = almost as much Bossy, unpredictable and unstable Bitch
Aerie = sniveling self-piteous little girlie.
All of them = mental cases.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr *slaps all of them around as they start their bitching and snivelling and shouts "Get yourself toghether!!! Or get some counceling, but in my group you behave and if you cannot you can rot in Spellhold, for I will kick you so hard in Atkathla that you bounce there!!!"*
I would never marry Jaheira, Fable; her type turns all partners into snivelling girlie-men like Khalid, rather be single and strong.

What is the difference? cheat + action = too many XP or cheat = too much XP... it is a cheat in any case, in fact by adding potions and HL spells you give her capabilities that she should not have (spells). So in a way your cheat is worse. Not that I am Buddha or Jesus, or even a saint, I have cheated on occasion, but cheating is cheating...willsanders84 wrote:CONSOLE COMMANDS! NOOOOOO. Edited to add, but why use Console when Shadowkeeper is so much more effective, for each cheat use the right tool ;-)
Edar, you are hilarious man. And I agree with your assessment.
To be fair, however, a good chunk of the male NPC's are highly irritating as well. In fact Anomen is worse than any of the females. I'm almost inclined to call him one in fact. Jan is plain idiotic. Minsc is certified mentally retarded. Keldorn is a giant flake. Edwin....I would punch him in the face in short order.
In fact, the only personalities I can respect in the game are Valygar and Korgan.

Oh come on. Valygar doesn't HAVE a personality. And Korgan, well, I don't know what his deal is.
AND ABOUT THE CHEATING!!! I meant that if you already HAD the scrolls, but didn't have them with you, then cheat them in! I've been up against Kangaxx before, only to find out after he changes to a Demi-Lich that the only thing I had that could damage him was the Staff of Rynn, and that was sitting in a cupboard in Cernd's former home. So instead of asking Jaheira to go and get it, I cheated it in.
I just cheated today, I had to re-create the rift device to make The Unseeing Eye appear again. I got 60000 xp AGAIN! Which meant I had to work out all the numbers, and use CLUA console to reduce everyones XP by the right amount. Arg.
When it comes to cheating, if you feel like a cheat, or even think you might feel like a cheat, then you've cheated. If you don't, then it's cool.

Feed Anomen to the bears? Oh, come on, the game lets you do so much better than that!
slightly spoilerish:
My neutral evil assassiness (wow that's a lot of "s") was soloing through most of the game, and in ch6 she had to fight the vampiress. Since the dead are not easily poisoned, she needed allies. So she wrapped a young, idealistic cleric around her finger... made him fail his test so that he had nobody in the world but her... made him love her and fight vampires for her...
Of course she didn't know he'd get kidnapped and turned into one, but when he did, well, what was there to do? She killed him, of course. Then she got on with her business, killed Irenicus, and later revived Sarevok and made him her lover.
And in some time, a party of adventurers might wander into the Athkatlan catacombs and find the ashes of Bodhi, together with a suit of armour, a warhammer and a Delryn Family Shield...

I disagree with you on that, along with a lot of other persons in this forum. Jaheira can be a very good NPC if used in the correct way. Jahiera is a very good second tank next to a damage taker(a guy that can take a lot of damage) While the PC is a berserker she is a very good second tank.Phantom Lord wrote:Kick Jaheira - unless you plan to keep her as sacrifice NPC in hell, in case you're evil .
I would personally kick out Edwin, first because he is evil and wil eventually make trouble and second because Jan is the best thief in the game, with the exception of Yoshimo

Even if Jaheira was an avatar of Ao I would not put up with her ways, *Froths at the mouth*.
Both Viconia and Anomen are as good as Jaheira, and while Anomen is as annoying, you are not supposedly in a relationship with him that goes further than comrade-in-arms.
I tell you, there are some of the other Viking Re-enactors who are as annoying, but who has other redeeming features, so you put up with them.
Jaheira I would not- not ever!
Perhaps because she reminds me of an Ex I do not much like being reminded about...

I have to admit that I am much more a power-gamer than a role-player when I play these games. I wish I wasn't but that's my tendency. I respect the role-players a lot and this is one of the finer examples.QuenGalad wrote:Feed Anomen to the bears? Oh, come on, the game lets you do so much better than that!

I have no doubt that Jaheira is as good as any NPC, technically. But her constant babble can't be tolerated. In case I play with a party, Edwin is in, so is Korgan and maybe Viccy. Now guess my usual alignment.jouke1988 wrote:I disagree with you on that, along with a lot of other persons in this forum. Jaheira can be a very good NPC if used in the correct way.

And yes, "Jaheira can be a very good NPC if used in the correct way" ... down below.
The best part of Jaheira is being forgotten by a lot of you.
She talks alot, I agree on that but there are more NPC's that do that. What I think interesting about Jaheira is the fact that she belongs with you when you've played BG1 in good or neutral style. and therefor she should be in your party in BG2
Next to that she controls spells that only Cernd controls as wel. And since he sucks even more than any other character I choose to take Jaheira with me and accept the talking

I agree with you on khalid but still I like Jaheira. Took her with me on most of my adventures in BG2 or replaced her for Anomen. Two Npc's a lot of people dislike but I don't I think it is very natural for an NPC to ask questions about a taken route especially when it isn't you who chose the route!

Jaheira can be quite a pain in the ass by all the things she says. But it is a natural human responce to question some things you do as a Baalspawn. I do think that every character has good and bad points. The Dex. of Keldorn, The low strength of Mazzy, The stupidity and Berserker activity of Minsc and you can go one with this forever.
