Cult of Unseeing Eye, need help

Post by SBennettPhoto »

Does anyone know of a patch to fix this problem?

When i pick up the second piece of the rod, it says the rod pieces have joined but then it dissappeared and the unseeing eye beholder thingy doesn't turn up.

I've never had this problem before,

Thanks

Same thing's happened to me mate, here you go:

Here's how you create a creature:

Step 1: Open the baldur.ini file, and under [Game Options] add this:

Debug Mode=1

Save the file.

Step 2: Run Baldur's Gate. In the game press CTRL-SPACE to bring up a
little console. To close the console again, press CTRL-SPACE.
You can now enter any cheat you want into this little console
window.

Now put this code into the Console window:

CLUAConsole:CreateCreature("yyyyyy")

The creature code for The Unseeing Eye is "unsee". Have fun, oh, and, DROP THAT MUTHA.

Whoops, no, that doesn't work. You get saving grace, and all the stuff at the temple goes down fine, but Gaal doesn't recognise that you've killed him. Looks like I'm just going to go back to the auto-save. DAMN those Gauths.

Ok mate, got it. Don't create the Unseeing Eye, instead, create the rift device again. To do this, enter debugmode=1 to activate the cheats and all that, then, do CLUAConsole:CreateItem("misc5a"). Place the part of the rift device you've just 'cheated' into your inventory back into the pit, then create the other part ("misc5b"). Reunite the parts again to form the rift device as normal, and this time KILL THE BUGGER.

Good luck, any problems just ask. By the way, haven't actually gone back to Gaal to check everything's cool, but my journal updated, and everything seems fine now. I'll say something if for some reason it isn't.

A silly question, but it has to be asked.

Have you checked your MAIN CHARACTER inventory? Quest items that are created via merging some smaller parts (Rift device, king-whatever-the-third mask) always appear in <CHARNAME> inventory, regardless of who had the parts.
