I don't see anything wrong with it. Aside from the crummy emoticons ;)

He *could* change to PHPBB and get those kickass ones. But ..they're just emoticons *nudges buck* :D

Keep in mind that web pages are totally unlike just about any other medium. The canvas is not fixed as it is with paper, film or television. Text and graphics flow in line, and you cannot gain pixel by pixel control. Plan your pages to flow, taking into account that:

different browsers (brands and releases of those brands) will render HTML code differently

people use different screen resolutions, so if you write a page with pixel widths stated for almost every element, the page is likely to run off the edge of the screen when viewed in a lower resolution setup. Or look scrunched and bunched to one side in a higher resolution setup.

Take my sister's computer and my computer.

We live in the same town, have different ISP and both have I.E 5.5.

On my computer, the background is black and the letters are white.

Buck already did a massive change a few months ago. In march, i think. Anyway the message board was closed for the whole weekend.

IMO, i like the format of the message board, currently.

Thats why we have instant ubb code. Just get a link of the web page with the url and put it in between

For example:

I don't think the forums need to be changed in any way. I like the colours the way they are now.

This forum is the only one I like enough to frequent, and lurk in often...

Ah well, the colours are decent and conservative; not many people will object to it, and perhaps that's all this board needs, which is also decent and a little conservative. Don't need to change anything. ;)
...But it would be a heck of a joke when people get over here and notice the board is suddenly pink... :D
