Installing?

Post by chrillejuntunen »

I have reinstalled Baldurs Gate II and throne of Bhaal and my question is now: If I download other characters like Valen, Soulafein and so is there anything else to think of? Any patch to download first or I can download the characters directly?

Official Bioware ToB patch, Gibberlings 3 Fixpack, whatever mods (characters, Dungeon-Be-Gone, Level 1 NPCs, whatever - check the individual readmes for any listed conflicts and install order) you want to add, and lastly Gibberlings 3 Tweakpack.

I´ve installed Biowaret ToB patch and are now installing Gibberlings 3 Fixpack but it stops at "Compiling 1 dialogue file and 17 scrips"...:/

I had a similar thing happen a few times - Bernard stopped talking halfway through my archer game and I just thought it was him refusing to talk to Jaheira, but it turned out to be a corrupted dialog file and needed a full reinstall.
If it doesn't keep installing after a couple of minutes try restarting the fixpack install process, if that doesn't do it download it again (ideally from a different source) and retry then, and if that doesn't work try a fresh install of the game.

First of all, sorry for bumping a nearly year-old thread, but can the official patches still be found on the Bioware-site? The patch page seems to be pretty empty (except for a few banners). :/

Thanks in advance!

Yep, it's empty. Try downloading the patches here:
