*SPOILER!!!* Watchknight Crypt problem

I am working on the Trials of the Luremaster.
I was doing great until it came time to go into the Watchknight Crypt.

Early on, before I cleared all the towers and as soon as I found the symbol of Helm, I went to the offering room and placed it in the holy water and it disappeared. The symbol on the round door appeared, but there was no way to get in.

I went back out and cleared all the towers and got all the Watchknights' tales, and then returned to the offering room, but it still won’t let me in. No door shows up at all. I only know that is how to get in because I checked the walkthrough after much frustration and spells trying to get through the main gate.
