Resurrection of character

Post by Ragin Cajun »

Is there a way to resurrect a character (NPC) before going to a chapel?

1. Have your own Cleric
or
2. Activate the cheat mode and press <CTRL-r> with the cursor on that character's portrait.

I encourage option 1, Clerics are very useful.

OK. Haven't got a cleric in the party yet. I've forgotten so much about this game.

There are four Possibilities AFAICR, Jaheira (who I despise), Viconis (who I despise only a little less), Aerie (whose snivelling self-pity I cannot abide), and Anomen (who is an arrogant arse, but who at least you do not have to sleep with- unless you play FM PC). Jaheira should already be with you from the start.

Rod of ressurection is another option.

And with a high level thief (or bard) you can simply use ressurection scrolls

It is very useful to have 1 or 2 clerics in your party over all the game. There will be some situations where you don't have the time to go to a priest before another heavy fight will come up again.

At the moment I play with the next party:

ME(A Half-Orc Fighter-Cleric wielding either flail of the ages or Crom Faeyr
Keldorn(A PAladin with Crasomnyr)
Aerie (A mage-cleric with MAce of disruption or sling of the arvoreen)
Jan Janssen ( a illusionist-thief with his own launcher or Staff of magi)
Mazzy Fentan ( a Fighter with either short bow of gesen or 2 short swords)
Valygar ( a ranger with elven court bow or Lilarcor)

This means I've got everything I need with me.

Minsc is at the Copper Coronet, talking to a broom. Boo is with Valygar, in his pack...sliced thinly with Waterdavian mustard between 2 slices of halfling rye.

hahah, just messing Edar. Skweep!

I think that Minsc is more a beserker then a ranger. That's why I took Valygar with me. I think both of them are very good character to have with you, I just favored Valygar this time.

Valyagar is good, but he is sooooo dreary and depressing. At least Minsc and Boo lightens up the mood a little.

There are no two ways about it. Minsc is a must in any party. Valygar, well I never pick him up, OH WAIT! No I did, he's been here the whole time. (In the voice of a robot ;) "I'm out of sight. None will see me now."

I agree, but I thought my character needed a real archer type character. Minsc is more a front row fighter/tank and not a long distance type character. But most of the time I do take Minsc with me and put him in de lead because he talks te best of all. Finished BG2 once with the next party:

Minsc --> Lilarcor
Anomen --> Flail of the ages
Me, a Gnome illusionist --> sling of the arvoreen
Aerie --> sling +2
Valygar --> Elven court bow
Jan Janssen --> his own launcher

Kicked butt except for the final battle in BG2 ToB, that one was very hard. But I made it.
