ToEE: Please Please Somebody Help Me!

Post by benmurphy666 »

I Have Purchased ToEE and Have Also Purchased A New Computer. Im running the new windows 7 and have installed ToEE and then patches 1 then 2. Followed by the unofficial patch as well as tried Co8 5.0.0 or whatever its called. I've tried everything i've been able to find on the net. Im not really great on computers just really enjoy RPG's and will probably need detailed steps of any advice given. Someone please help as im looking forward to playing this game when and if i can get it going. any help would be appreciated.

If its your first playthrough I recommend that you form a party of two fighters one rogue one wizard and a cleric. If your using Co8 a rogue is a must, if your not then is not so much requiered, save often, elmo is one of the best npcs you can find in the game. Chaotic parties get the best out of the game (chaotic good in particulary) ;)

After one playthrough feel free to experiment with all classes cleric is the least useful to me. summoning is not particulary helpful, charm sleep and the like spells are life savers in the first few levels.

welcome to GB btw :D
Have you seen my brain around here? No? well in case you see it its brainy and squishy looking. If you see it let me know

If I read you correctly, you aren't even able to run the game at all, right? It's not a strategy question, but a software question?

If so, we'll need more info on how and when it's failing, though I suspect one problem in particular that I will PM you about.

(Use the lastest 1.3 build - it's still beta, but stable and far better than 1.2)
