But imagine the hilarity! Just imagine stupidity causing the deaths of untold millions! Not orchestrated evil, not greed, not psychosis, nor any kind of reasonable explanation, just pure, unbridled stupidity. It will be the absolute height of dead baby style comedy. The world will then plunge into a truly global dark age, not limited to any one region or culture like the dark ages of the past. Small groups of educated individuals will struggle to gather whatever works of literature and media they can and erect large stone buildings in the remote reaches of the continents to preserve the knowledge of the past.

This knowledge will slowly disseminate among the elite families that have risen above the anarchy. Soon the churches of Elvis, Star Trek, and Jim Cramer will form and compete. A new enemy with an old history dating back to before the great Palinocalypse will eventually arrive from north of the Americas, the Mounties, and they will pillage and plunder the storehouses of knowledge for their great valuables.

The knowledge will be dispersed, lost, destroyed, and mostly forgotten about for many years. However, one day the son of a wealthy banker will become enamored with the "classics". There will be a golden age of re-discovery and prosperity around the globe.

And one day our distant descendants will visit the great temples of Woodstock and marvel at the grand statue of the Angry Video Game Nerd as he prepares to battle the Bunny Goliath armed with nothing more than a primitive button sling.
