If I enter the Modron Maze with Ignus in my party and then dump him for Nordom, will Ignus be killed when the maze is reset and removed from later events in the game?

Anything you leave in the maze when you reset it is gone afterwards, so I suspect the answer would be--yes.

ya I was wondering what would happen if ignus died before TFOR

Well, my very first playthrough, I never found the decanter so I ended up finishing the game without ever releasing him. He still ended up in the Fortress as usual.

If Ignus is killed before the FoR, he'll still be summoned by TO. He'll just be a corpse at the start of that cutscene, and TO basically rezzes him.
