Will Sarevok actually kill anyone in the party... or will anyone leave having him in the group?
I like my party make up... but would like to drop Nalia for Sarevok and turn him into a mage who will level QUICKLY...

I've made it a point to include Sarevok in my parties, good or evil. He's grand. I've never experienced him having any death-matches with anyone in the group, nor have I ever experienced anyone bolting, just because he was there. I've never heard of any partymembers at all who'll have a go at Sarevok at any point or leave because of him, or even any hints about it. I doubt that any of them have a script that'll make something like that happen.arsiwash wrote:Will Sarevok actually kill anyone in the party... or will anyone leave having him in the group?

Another bonus is that if I go through SoA with only 5 partymembers to include Sarevok in ToB, those 5 will get a little more XP. The XP going to that 6th partymember will go the the other 5. More power to them, I guess.
The thing with Sarevok is, in a good party, you can change his alignment from evil to good, and so far I've only heard the good partymembers applaud his decision to turn to goodness. In theory, I guess an evil party could also turn Sarevok good, but that seems like a rather odd thing to do. I've never tried it with an evil party, though. As an evil party, you keep him evil, and he gets along fine with the other evil characters. As a sidenote, I've never had any of the good partymembers go nuts over an evil Sarevok, though. They give a couple of complaints once in a while, but nothing major.
I've always found better use for Sarevok as a Fighter/Thief. Use Any Item always seems to complement his devastating combat skills. Because he can be a hurricane in combat, given the right weapons. I believe that Sarevok can become a level 23-24 Mage or so, but it's a gamble for which skills you'll want to put into the group. In my mind, Sarevok can be a decent spellchucker, but not great. I've tried one runthrough with him as a dualclassed Mage, and he was a competent backup for Imoen, but in my previous runs I've never had that much use for additional backup in the area of spellcasting. Imoen or Edwin were more than enough to suit my needs.
Besides, his Deathbringer Assault, with it's occational 200 bonus to melee damage sort of points him towards the frontline. And, as a dualclassed Mage, he'll get 4 proficency points (as far as I remember), so any plans of giving him any additional weapons besides the ones he's already got are sort of out the window.
It would help if we knew what you have in your party besides Nalia.. whom I would boot at any rate. Hell, I usually never even give her the chance to join my party, so booting her is never really an issue. She's a nagging tool in my mind.
