I can't find First Enchanter and it's driving me crazy.
I've finished with the treaties where I picked up An Unlikely Scholar quest and I'm suppose to go to the Circle and ... only there's no First Enchanter to talk to. I've been through the Tower, in R. Castle, am in D at the moment (finished Captured) but I still can't find FE. Anyone have a clue where the guy is hiding?

And He whispered to me in the darkness as we lay together, Tell Me where to touch you so that I can drive you insane; tell Me where to touch you to give you ultimate pleasure, tell Me where to touch you so that we will truly own each other. And I kissed Him softly and whispered back, Touch my mind.

Assuming you've completed the Broken Circle quest, the First Enchanter should be right around the entrance way where you load into the area.
If he isn't there you've either encountered a bug or you haven't finished the Broken Circle quest.

If you sided with the templars in the tower, then you're not going to find the first enchanter. You'll need to talk to Greagoir. He should be near the entrance, too.

Sir Edmund: "Should you obey the lord who asks you to put a village of innocents to the torch? Is that chivalrous? Is it noble?"
Me: "It's a great way to get promoted, I know that much."

Thanks guys but alas no. I didn't side with the Templars but I tried talking to Greagoir anyway - no go, as it should be really. I've done the Broken Circle quest, quite a while ago but the FE is not there by the door. I saw him in R. Castle obviously so I thought maybe he got stuck there or something but no, not there either. Only Greagoir, another Templar I think with the Quartermaster in the back at the door. Seems like a bug ... mmmhm. Oh well... thanks anyway!

At the time I wrote that it was before the Landsmeet as I was still running around doing quests. He just wasn't there.
Right now, I don't care, I skipped over to the final battle but if you have an idea it would be nice to know as I have earlier saves and can go back. Thanks.

If you played through the Broken Circle quest, but you didn't use the scroll (of Adalla or some such) in the final fight, then all the mages in that room died, including the first enchanter. In that case, when you end the battle, you would have spoken to Cullen, since the First Enchanter would be laying corpse-like on the stone floor.
So even though you completed the quest and sided with the mages, the first enchanter will not be available.

Those who will play with kitties must expect to be scratched.
