Chicken in the Fridge

Post by RPGguy »

Hello, I have some drumsticks that have been sitting in the fridge for 6 days now and have developed a hankering this afternoon for some ShakeNbake.

Just a little scared I've neglected them too long. They don't stink or anything but you know...it's bird.

How long is it okay to leave bwuck-bwuck unfrozen?

Thanks.

i would never use chicken after it has been in the fridge more than 3-4 days raw or cooked unless it has been vaccuum sealed. i would be safe and if you have that bad of a craving to go and buy fresh chicken.
:D Smile.... That way they wont know what your thinking :p

Thank you. I've pitched it so now I am stuck eating crackers with peanut butter. But I suppose that's better than it coming out both ends for the next few days. :speech:

Good plan, it's really not worth risking food poisoning. Even with the non-fatal variety you spend half of the time thinking you're going to die, and the other half wishing you could.

btw, I notice you list your location as Vancouver. If you are close enough to get there easily, a great place to buy chicken is a stall I can't remember the name of (opposite a flower shop) inside Granville Island Market. Great quality, and excellent value!

Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup.

Ya, I dig the market. It's just hard to deal with getting there and fighting for parking. I've been living downtown (Gastown) since 1997.

But if I do go, I'll be on the look out for m'lady carrying a 2-handed sword, wearing a pink t-shirt that tells me to "stop bitching and slay some elves" or something or other
