Morvayn's Support "Redoran SPOILER"

Before I asked Brara Morvayn for her support I had already cleared the Morvayn mansion and given the ash statue to Lloros. Now I have the quest from Brara Morvayn and of course there is no statue in the mansion. When I go to Lloros he will ask me if I have another statue to cleanse which I don't. When I go to Brara Morvayn she just tells me to take care of the statue in the mansion. Is there a way to get another statue or to re-set the quest? Thanks, Rick

It's been a long time since I played this game or used the console, but I think typing

Journal "B5_MorvaynHort" 60

into the console may solve your problem. If it doesn't say so and I'll have another look into it.

Hi again, I tried this and it says my journal is updated but nothing has changed. Morvayn still tells me she gave me the key and to give the ash statue to Lloros Sarano and Lloros Sarano just asks if she wants to have another statue cleansed and there is not a statue in the manor. You should be able to forget the statue quest now, once you have the support of the rest of the Redoran councilors you should talk to Bolvyn Venim, he should then challenge you to a duel in the Vivec Arena.

The purpose of the statue quest was to get Brara Morvayn to support you, the critical point being that journal entry indicating that she does support you.

Hi again, I have gotten the support of all the others and Bolvyn still won't ask me to duel. I have put this off until I completed almost everything I can but can't advance the main line quest until I complete this. Any other suggestions?

Well firstly try confirming the approval of the other councilors by typing into the console

Journal B5_ArobarHort 50
Journal B5_LlethriHort 50
Journal B5_MorvaynHort 50
Journal B5_RamoranHort 50
Journal B5_SarethiHort 50

then talk to Bolvyn Venim

If that fails then go to the Arena, enter the pit and type into the console

PlaceAtPC, "bolvyn venim", 1, 256, direction 0

This should place Venim in the pit with you; kill him, you should then get the message

I killed Bolvyn Venim in a duel. It is unfortunate, but there was no alternative. I should speak with Athyn Sarethi again to be named Hortator.

If Athyn doesn'tname you Hortator then type the following into the console

Player->AddItem "bk_NerevarineNotice" 1
Journal "B5_RedoranHort" 70
player->additem "bk_saryoni_note" 1
Journal "B8_MeetVivec" 1
Journal "B5_RedoranHort" 50
Journal "B5_RedoranHort" 60
Player->AddItem "hortatorring" 1
Player->ModReputation 4

This really shouldn't be necessary though, killing Bolvyn in the arena should do the trick.
