As you leave from behind the cover of the wall and run towards the barricade with tindertwig in hand the goblin from behind fires at you with his loaded crossbow letting out a screech.RPGguy wrote:(snarls to self)
I retrieve a tindertwig and keep it ready in my free hand. I whisper a quick prayer to Diirinka and run for the barricade on my right (full round action).
As I close the final few feet of distance, I strike the tindertwig against the floor and try to light the bearskin rug (standard action), I drop the ignited tindertwig at the base of the barricade (free action) and tumble backwards, away from the barricade, remaining crouched (move action).
I hope the fire will weaken the barricade, distract the 4 goblins or (better yet), cause them to flee.
ToDM: If I missed any requisite rolls, please make them on my behalf and advise. Thanks.
7+2=9
vs. 14 (+2 dex, +2 Leather armor, correct me if I'm wrong)
Fail
The bolt misses you whizzing past your head and instead crashing into the wall to your right and splintering as it impacts with the stone wall. You quickly close in on the barricade lighting the tindertwig and drop it onto the rug before tumbling away from further crossbow fire, but before you can get to cover the goblin has quickly reloaded his crossbow and fires once more...
14+2=16
vs. 14... Although it's now debatable if he could he could hit a moving crouched, tumbling target... Make a tumble check to see whether or not you get a circumstance bonus to AC or not...
You take the orc by surprise and immediately spring into action, ignoring the weapon that the orc assumed you would take. You charge in low, and then fuelled by a unique blend of discipline and adrenaline you perform a flying uppercut your knuckles smashing into the orc's lower jaw dislocating it and sending him toppling backwards smashing his head against the stone wall behind him with a splatter of blood, the collision makes him drop his broken axe half and it clatters against the ground, his limp body slowly sliding down to join it, crimson blood trailing behind the head.. The old orc died instantly from the resulting attack, which makes you wonder a plethora of questions ranging from, whether or not the orc actually did know anything about the attack on your monastery or whether he finally found the peace he sought for so long.Siberys wrote:Init-
