Striking resemblance. But the voice is all wrong and the accent is no good in this case. Big fan of him otherwise.

Actually, Guillermo del Toro would make a good director for BG.

I'd be going with Martin Klebba (the midget from Pirates of the Caribbean) for Jan.
Vin Diesel for Minsc.
Joe Pantoliano for Edwin.
Alyson Hannigan for Imoen.

Too hungover to think of more.

Vin Diesel as Minsc aha ha ha ha ha, now that is a good idea. He has all the requisites and thus does not even have to act.

Ha ha ha ha.

Edited to add, how long have you been here fair maiden?

Your idea with Johnny Depp as Haer'Dalis is good, I like Johnny Depp and he adds a certain flavour to any role he plays.

No, it's a terrible idea. Vin talks like a stone golem. Minsc is a flamboyant, gay-ish, crazy dude from Transylvania. Just because they are both bald does not make it a good idea.

Depp would be a great Haer'Dalis. But he'd only do it if Tim Burton directed it.

Shave Will Farrell's head and have him work out for 9 months to shed the man-boobs. There's your Minsc.

lol, I believe my join date says April 2001 :o

Yep, I can't imagine anyone better suited to playing Haer'Dalis :D

@RPGguy, I suppose we could always have Burton as a director then... it would add an interesting twist... :p

Ahh yes, Depp! One of the actors who give me hope for the future, where legends like Eastwood, Pacino, Freeman etc. will be no more.

@ the kind lady above me. Instead of stalking, just write down your director type :)

Was thinking for BG1 the best director could be Terry Gilliam, He could nail the lightness and humor without making it a comedy and still make it something good and serious out of it.

For BG2 I change my mind carlos castillos would be better suited tan Peter jackson.
Haer'Dalis could be best played by Depp
minsc: so hard to figure an actor for him he is just to unique, very hard to cast someone for him :p
Have you seen my brain around here? No? well in case you see it its brainy and squishy looking. If you see it let me know

Terry Gilliam could do it. He has a funny side, a fantasy side and a weird side (12 monkeys).

Minsc: Velibor Topic
Jaheira: Tilda Swinton
Imoen: any bubbly, irritating bimbo would do, Michelle Trachenberg
Irenicus: Alan Rickman (assuming he would be up for playing another wizard)
Korgan: Brendan Gleeson
Keldorn: Liam Neesen
Maevar: David Thewliss
"Korax thinks you look very tasty today...

You may be right, I was thinking, big, bald and one more brain cell than a chicken in order to keep them pecking for worms.

What about my favorite Ray Stevensson for Minsc then, Pullo is not exactly a subdued character, biting out the tongue of the sleezy competitor gangstar, etc...

Am I the only one who thinks that Minsc's portrait in BGII has a certain Arnold Schwarzenegger-esque quality? Think about it. Arnie as Dr. Freeze in Batman. Bald, retarded lines and an accent? Come on...

Brad Pitt of course. Only the highest paid actors could be considered for such a pivotal role. The entire project hangs in the balance, so you definitely don't want to dink around.

I was getting more of a Keanu Reeves vibe for Cernd - the wooden acting would be perfect for BG2s only single-class druid. :D

Irenicus: *Casts Rapture of the Father*
*Asylum Inmates all die*
Cernd: Woah.

Not black enough IMO - one of the other threads DW listed had a perfect Valygar but I forget who.
Tyrese Gibson also springs to mind 'cept he's bald.

It was Keith Hamilton Cobb I think... ;)

I also don't think Keanu would be good. Valygar is actually quite a deep character, he's just the brooding, silent type. I really don't think Keanu does brooding or deep very well...
I mean, he has about as much depth as an Arizona rain puddle in the middle of an August drought... :p

For Cernd, how about Adam Beach ?
They might have to age him up a bit, but I could see it working.

Any skinny girl would work for aeri, geck Keira Knightley could do it, while I like aeri almost any bimbo can play her which is regretteble.

for Korgan I would say John Rhys-Davies could do it buuuut Davies said he never ever would play a dwarf again in his life :p

severok could be played by: Michael Clarke Duncan

who do you think could play the bhaalspawn? :D

With the help of some CGI (since she doesn't exactly have the build), I think Emma Watson would actually make quite a good Mazzy :D
