Asylum dungeon 1

I could use some help. Im in the asylum dungeons. I have Dace Sontran's hand and the Kurtulmak's Shard. I go to the head statue and it says that the way is open but nothing happens. Apparently the mouth should open so I could walk through the open mouth to the stairs behind the statue. That doesn't happen. The blue circle under the head doesn't disappear either. Is it a bug? Can it be fixed somehow? Please help if you can.

Yes, it's a bug and there is absolutely nothing you can do to fix it other than reload and try again.

It happened to me during my first play of SoA.

It happened to me quite a few times. What i did was store both quest items in the container next to the stone head, and pick them up again.

This worked most of the time.

If it wont, CTRL + J your party behind the stone head

It's been a while so my memory could be faulty, but doesn't the head simply slide forward leaving a gap rather than the mouth opening?

PS not that it matters, just use Ctrl+J as Stworca suggested.
