Icewind Dale MP session ?

Is anyone still playing (or willing to play) this game in multiplayer ?

It`s been a while since i finished the single player mode, but i did never play it online before. Actually, i`m new to online RPG in general, but i kinda want to try it out.

In case someone would: It would only be possible to play at week-ends, in the evening. Let`s say like 11:+pm or so - hopefully the timezone doesn`t cause any problems (I`m from Switzerland).

Feel free to PM me if anyone is interested, and we can arrange something.

Well i cant for i have windows 7 and the game is not supported in windows 7 but ill give you some tips in getting a game running.

#1 it is very hard (But ive done it before)
#2 Using the XP operating system will work best
#3 You must always be in the same operating system
#4 Firewall should be disabled or set it to Ignore Icewind dale
#5 it is hard finding people since not many people play this and finding sombody with XP is getting harder
#6 Not sure if this helps but you should have the same game settings on
#7 Have the latest patch Download Icewind Dale II Patch 2.01 - Addresses a number of issues found after the release of Icewind Dale II - Softpedia
#8 and if you have mods on make sure all of you have it or just temporarily remove it

Hey thanks for the tips, they`re appretiated.

As for the OS, i`m using Vista, so it shouldn`t be too difficult to find others using the same OS. The only question would be, if Icewind Dale 2 multiplayer would run smoothly on Vista.

Oh well, it really does look like it`s difficult to set up an Icewind Dale 2 multiplayer session.

Maybe this is the inapropriate Forum section to ask, but what about a BG2 session ? Is anyone still able/willing/interested in starting a new Baldur`s Gate Shadows of Amn mp session ?

You should ask that question in the BG2 forum, as you point out, this isn't the right place.

I would soooo jump on this offer but for some reason IWD2 runs really, really badly on ATI cards. It stutters so much it's basically unplayable.

I've never done any MP sessions of IE games but what about IWD1?

My BG2 is intertwined with BGT and a bunch of other mods so I couldn't join you there.

Hmmm.... I haven`t played IWD1 yet, but hey, I would also play an IWD1 online session.
