Mage's Lost Abilities

I'm just in Chapter 2 and my mage (theif) Gladys has lost her magical abilites. They worked for a while but now they're blacked out on the toolbar. She has no disabilitating conditions and plenty of AP. Any suggestions would be appreciated

If it isn't a bug I'd look to wearing metal or insufficient AP based on a spells modifier (the + or - of a spell).

Chances are you have spells without modifiers on your quick tab so I'm going with "metal". ;)
