Knights of the Nine (possible spoilers)

Post by Ragin Cajun »

Just wondering...

I am level 4 now and just completed the first part of the KOT9 chain to gain all the pieces of equipment. Met the Prophet at the KOT9 lodge. Should I wait to continue this chain to kill Umaril until a later level or go ahead and finish it off?

When it comes to Oblivion i always recommend staying at as low level as possible. ;)

As the Quest Award Levelling mod doesn't cover KOTN I'd advise waiting a while before collecting the armour and weapons, otherwise you'll be left with weak, almost useless items later in the game. The worst thing you can do is collect all the pieces nwo then find you can't cope with Umaril, and have to come back later when the weapons are inadequate,

I actually modded my own Knights.ESP to include award levelling, I'd offer to post it here, but it would be in beach of copyright unfortunately.

Hey Gaelren, how was your vacation/trip?

Well, I already finished the chain. No problem killing the guy. Figuring the gear won't be any good later, I did put it on the mount stand for it in the Priory house, kind of role playing it, that it will be there for all to revere.

Is that leveling mod good to get or will you get good enough weapons as you progress?

The trip to London do you mean? That went grrrreat!

I would never play without the Quest Award Levelling mod, it works for everything that is levelled in the vnilla game, including Sigil Stones. I guess teh only 'drawback' is that you hoard your Sigil stnes until you reach 17th level, unless you get duplicates.

I'd forgotten about the stand in the Priory, does that upgrade tehm as you level up? I've always wondered about that, but never actually tested it out as I had QAL for KOTN almost as soon as I got the expansion.

for the Knights of the Nine weapons and armor, after you aquire them if they become to weak you can put them on the stand and then take them back. they should level with your character. the tricky thing about all the Kot9 gear is that in order to wear it you have to have 0 infamy. so if your wearing all of it at once then you kill a guy and get caught, all the gear will automatically remove itself and youll be stuck gearless until you can replace it or do another pilgrimage
