Announcing Qwinn's Unofficial Dragon Age: Origins Fixpack

Post by Qwinn »

Hullo all :) Just thought I'd let you know I've created a Fixpack for Dragon Age: Origins, attempting to squash a lot of the bugs that haven't been addressed yet as of the official 1.03 patch. This is for Origins only, the only bug it fixes in Awakening is the Stealing bug that was introduced in 1.03.

Qwinn's Unofficial Dragon Age Fixpack

The "Project Details" at the link lists all the bugs addressed by this fixpack.

Hope you'll enjoy! And if you do download it, please press the + "popularity" button, I'm trying to get this mod on the main projects page :)

Oh, and for those familiar with my Planescape: Torment mods, I updated those recently to v4.1 as well, over at Spellhold Studios.

So far the mod has worked seamlessly, with the possible exception of the Chantry in Lothering.

Before installing the mod I never had any problems entering the Chantry, sine I installed it however it has crashed every time I tried to enter on first arriving in Lothering. If I revert to a save made after entering Lothering the CTD doesn't happen, so it's not a game killer, and now I'm prepared for it, not much of an inconvenience. I can't be certain that it's the mod that's causing this obviously, but it does seem rather coincidental.

Other than that I've had no problems so far, and the benefits far outweigh the minor inconvenience. Thank you very much for your efforts Qwinn.

Suggestion to Mods, please make this thread a sticky, everyone who has the game should be aware of this excellent patch.

Hah, I couldn't find the thread to update it, I wasn't aware it'd gotten stickied! Thanks!

Just thought I'd drop by and announce that v2.0 has been released, with almost 40 new fixes! Hope you'll all enjoy :)

galraen, I tested but I was unable to reproduce your Lothering Chantry issue. Barring getting any more details on how to reproduce it, I'm going to have to assume it was unrelated to my mod. Thanks for the report though :)

Guess what Qwinn, it hasn't happened again since I posted! Haven't been there much though.

I also thought the mod was interfering with the animate dead spell, but the spell seems to be broken with or without your mod.
