Siberys wrote:Just a note, Rogues only gain Knowledge Local as a class skill. Every other knowledge would cost you 2 skill points to get, not 1.
Okay, that's a pretty serious mistake because I only paid 1 skill point each at LVL 2 for Knowledge: Arcana, Knowledge: Architecture and Knowledge: Dungeoneering.
So in order to fix that mistake at LVL 2, I will only have 9 skill points for this particular level up. With 9 points, I revise my LVL 3 Skill Point allocation as follows:
[REVISED]
Knowledge: Local - 1 rank (= 5 with INT modifier)
Appraise - 1 rank (= 5 with INT modifier) [+7 for stone]
Tumble - 1 rank (increases from +9 to +10)
Search - 1 rank (increases from +9 to +10) [+12 for stone]
Spot - 1 rank (increases from + 1 to +2)
Listen - 1 rank (increases from + 1 to + 2)
Hide - 1 rank (increases from +11 to +12)
Move Silently - 1 rank (increases from +11 to +12)
Disable Device - 1 rank (increases from +9 to +10)

Cernd-ar & Arvall Cernd-ar continues to examine around the tavern's perimeter hoping to find any opening aside from the locked front door and only finds closed windows locked from the inside. Arvall tries looking around from the other side and finds a double door that is located on the western side of the building. This double door is facing downward and is chained up. Chances are this leads to the cellar. If there are people inside the locked-up tavern they may be less likely to expect someone emerge from the cellar.

But you manage to sway yourself to stay out of the way.
Jarrackt You pick up Frederick's broken Guisarme (12 lbs.) and personal armor (40 lbs.). You vow to avenge Frederick's death on all those responsible. You load up you pipe and take a hit, in reverence. You pass it to the orc, who at first is skeptical, but takes a hit before quickly returning it back to you.
You manage to evactuate the townspeople from the eastern part of the city and lead them with you back to the fortress in Southern Outlook. While in the Eastern rise you notice the ogre's are indeed making their next big assualt on the city and waste no time in trying to challenge them, but instead plan to make it your goal to do so later. But for now you evacuate the townsfolk.
You arrive in Ironstone Keep with the people. There are spiked barricades being placed around the Keep and the palisade around the entrance. Orcs have already begun lining the keep's rooftop with bows in hand, while a few goblins operate the single ballista crowning the keep's defences.
As you enter the large keep, you see the Oruk. He talks to the orc and after a brief exchange of grunts they close the door behind you and begin barricading it.
The Oruk points at a large group of townspeople and says, "Battle is the domain of the orcs, it's not a safe place for young kids to play.", You go to protest, but decide not to argue with him. The battle around the fort rages for awhile as you hear the screams of orcs and goblins, and feel the keep rattle under the assault of the ogres who appear to have taken to throwing boulders at the keep.
You overhear two goblins speaking in common, "S**t, we're taking heavy casualties and there are no signs of letting up."
"We need back up.", The other goblin complains,
"They're no way reinforcements will arrive in time, we'll all be dead by the time they do.", the first goblin replies.
"If only we hadn't chased out that witch! We might be able to use her foul magics in a situation like this...", The goblin says shaking his head.
"Shhhh.... Quiet! Do you want us both to be shot? Sure it'd be nice but the law is the law, and I'd rather die by ogres than have inquistion here. They torture you from beyond the grave!" The first Goblin whispers.
By this time an orc runs in. "Ma shield broke!", another orc a grizzled blacksmith comes over. "Dis here be a replay... replaic.... New shield!" He says gleefully grabbing the goblin and strapping him onto the orc's arm with some cloth.
The goblin meanwhile is screaming his head off as the other goblin runs off.
"Kinda heavy." The orc grunts, shaking the wiggling goblin around on his arm. The Blacksmith grins pulls out a cleaver and lops off the goblin's legs to which the goblin faints from.
The orc tests out his new shield waving it about. "Purfect!" Then the orc high fives the blacksmith before running back into the fray. The blacksmith looks awfully pleased with himself.
This whole scene leaves you in complete shock and one thing becomes painfully obvious that you need to get out of here, and quick. Or else you might become an amazing replacement shield to be spoken of for the ages in orc culture.

You could use one of those if you like to reduce your upkeep by 50% if you like (the rest of your upkeep being spent on keeping your damaged clothes and equipment in proper condition) , but just keep in mind after 10 days no amount of trail rations or upkeep can prevent food from going bad in the terrible climate and conditions of the Badlands. Water tends to fare well though, although there may still be issues like diseased water and the what not. You would only need to worry about Water on top of everything else when you enter the southern deserts of Zenhir.
New CharacterDante Blackwinter Aka. Whistler
Society is corrupt, society is filth, society is evil. This has never been more true than in the harsh city of Overdark. You make your way living the better of the two worlds by taking on the form of a darkelf, or Drow as they are known.
As long as you obey the curfew, and don't piss off the wrong people life will be good. You have been making you life doing small assassinations killing mid-level figures in drow society for an underground resistance group that dwells in the Underdark. You care nothing for their cause or their plight, but their pay is good and you're services are welcome. You drudge through the abysmal city of Overdark. Sister city of Underdark. It is a surreal landscape with bizarre serpentine towers and twisting and fleshy catwalks between them, the city is illuminated by eerie blue flames, granted by the only magic the inquisition is willing to grant the city of the moon. This city would look normal undergound, but it's architecture being based on that of underdark when seen in the surface world shows the severe cultural difference that lies between civilizations above and below the crust.
You make you way to your contact for the resistance group known only as "Glass Blade". Your informant known only as Steeltooth, a half-drow with a silver canine tooth awaits you at the tavern.
You sneak in next to him and order yourself something to drink, making it look like you aren't even interested. Steeltooth slides a paper to you and in an uninterested fashion you open it expected your next victim to negotiate fees.
"Know who that is?", Steeltooth says to the wind.
"Should I care?", you say. What is the point of knowing how somebody lived, you only need to know that their life ends by your hand.
"It's Ariel Val'Sarghress...", Steeltooth says.
Your heart goes cold, you look at him. Val'Sarghress, is THE royal family! What are they thinking? The drow royality are heavily guarded, and the the Queen and her ilk, doubly-so!
"... she went missing, royal palace has been in a panic for a month but everyone has been tight lipped. If anyone found out royality was in crisis every drow noble in overdark would be preparing to take over the throne. We have opertives who are imbedded in most of the minor rings of society, but if we could have one that was that close to royality... Well the tides of battle would change real soon. You'd be seeing ALOT more work." Continues Steeltooth looking at you, "We even have some boys fanatical enough to make the magic happen. What's I'm going to do is leave this right here, it's 200, you meet up in the dock 5, wear something pretty, get yourself all dolled up and we'll ensure you get to play princess for awhile. From that point on, all missions will be at 5,000 a head."
You let a little chuckle out, "That's cute, I doubt you have the money to be paying those types of wages with your operation."
"I can't sure, but these people can.", Steeltooth slides another paper in your hand, You look at it. It's a paper with a white wax seal of a mindflayer, crown on head and two tentacle, massive in length winding around the border.
"Once the opportunity opened up, the Royality of the west was fully on board with the plan. Because if there's one person who can benefit from some royality going MIA, it HIM, and you could also be getting on the benefit wagon.", Steeltooth pauses, "All up to you in the end. Don't disappoint."
I don't recall what languages you set to choose.
I will quickly head toward the exit (from which i came in. and see if the man with the wagon is still there.) if he is i will try to remember where if Frederick mentioned the name of his town while training with him.
@DM- I took languages based on what I thought my starting location would be, a territory near greenskins, so I took Orc and goblin. If my starting location is in a Drow city, a city I've been living in for some time, can I assume that my "Speak language" points were invested in Undercommon and Drow Sign (yes, an actual D&D based language, not my own creation)?
New Peasant Alias-
Rizzen Dracodomidon: Drow, Age 58, short white hair style. Yellow eyes. This will be the common form I am always in at the organization and for people who know me as a drow.
In the streets, I occasionally shift my face every hour or so to a mixture of some other drows, and shift from male to female to broaden my disguises.
In game-
I quietly leave, without saying a word to Steeltooth, not even a positive or negative response to the contract he gave me. However, as I stand up from the table, in a quick motion with my hand, I sign to him "24 hours."
I shift my body into a beautiful noble woman, head to a tailor and get a fancy Royal garment (200 GP base price), and see if I can't haggle the price down a few gold pieces, using my womanly features to my advantage if possible-
Diplomacy-
1d20+4
17+4 = 21
If I can reduce the price, I also go to a blacksmith and get a basic dagger (2GP)
Regardless of the price staying the same or lowering, after buying it I immediately take it to a secure location (preferably a hideout for the resistance).
I immediately head to any local bookstore or library, hide behind an alleyway and shift into a young half-drow male (young enough to be pre-adolescence if possible, to give the indication of a "School kid"), and head inside. I care not about any greeting the shop/library owner gives and head straight to the history section, immediately going for any current information on Ariel Val'Sarghress. Her mannerisms, her politics, her faith, her beliefs, speeches she's made, I begin to study all of these.
As I study, I copy down all key factors onto parchments that I will need to imitate.
If the place I am in is a library, I use my personal remaining 30 gold to buy said books, instead of read them right then and there. "30 gold to increase my chances of earning thousands? Hmph, pocket change at this point," I think to myself.
I still copy down all the key factors and notes and stuff, but in a more secluded place (if there's a hideout for the organization I help, preferably there is where I study whether I buy the books or if I can check them out like any other library).
Memory Rolls (I think Gather information would be the best roll suited for gathering and memorizing textbook information, however feel free to use a different skill if you wish), I take approximately 3 hours on each subject (thus 3 possible rolls). If I need to stop reading at one point to obey the curfew, I do so and continue the next day if possible-
Ariel's Speeches and speaking style (Dialect and so forth)-
1d20+5
12+5 = 17
1d20+5
3+5 = 8
1d20+5
18+5 = 23
Knowledge Local (to know what she looks like)-
1d20+5
20+6 = 26
After the 24 hours have passed, I don the fancy garments as best I can, and then put a large black cloak over all of it including my face, and shift my face into Ariel as accurately as possible. I immediately head to dock 5 as indicated.
Speaking in Undercommon and as closely to Ariel as possible but grinning to indicate it's me, "Well...I do hope mummy and daddy will recognize their daughter. Why I've been gone for so long I don't know what will happen when I return."
Disguise-
1d20+13
15+13 = 28
Speaking a little more plainly, I pull up the sleeves on the royal outfit a little, and unstrap the collapsible punching daggers. "These will be obvious, despite their nature to be hidden. A dagger on my leg will be much more effective.
Steeltooth, keep these while I work. You lose them and I'll kill you," I hand him the punching daggers.
"Hmm....now where to we begin?"

Sorry about the lack of updates recently, and possibly until Tuesday. I’ve had to go home for the weekend since I wanted to spend time with my Mom for mother’s day and some other jazz, so that’s two days stuck on bus, followed by having to take care of my baby niece and spend time with my mom.
Ps. Thanks for the concern though.
Rahg'nuul While resting you feel yourself slip into another realm of being... An out of body experience...
You find yourself once more in the foggy shadow realm. This time you see 4 people in color, as solid forms walking through a large dungeon room like area. You recognize 3 of the figures there is the paladin Gladius in the front with an armored war priest, with steel armor over top of red fabric. This man appears to be a cleric of St.Cuthbert with his holy symbol and mace at his side.
Trailing behind these two warriors are the halfling Gelidia and with twiggish frame of Melkior. Gladius and the priest seem to be conversing. Gladius looks at the priest, "All I'm saying is I think the arch-bishop Lazarus could better serve the will of St. Cuthbert if he took advantage of the divine powers granted by his faith rather than forego them.", the cleric shakes his head which is shaven and only adorned with a iron circulate, "You wouldn't understand, St.Cuthbert is a deity who was once a man transcended into deityhood without the use of divine crutches. Arch-bishop Lazarus hopes to follow in his divine footsteps and in doing so is closer to following St.Cuthbert's life." The priest explains. "Then wouldn't you begin forego divine magic yourself to get closer to St.Cuthbert?”, Gladius asks. The priest goes to protest, but Gelidia hushes them. “Something, wrong Gelidia?” Gladius whispers.
A moment of silence, and then they can hear the rush of water. Gelidia looks behind them and gets buggy eyed, “Run!” she shouts. The group begins running towards the other end of the tunnel as water begins to gush in from behind them. They reach a dead end with locked metal door. “Get out of the way! And make yourself useful.” Gelidia says pushing Melkior aside to reach the door.
Gelidia begins unlocking the door as a violet gush of water laps up to around their knees throwing bones of previous drowned victims. These skeletons suddenly spring to life and begin assaulting the warriors. The priest looks at Gladius, “Fall back.”, which Galdius begrudgingly agrees to. The Priest pulls out his holy symbol and brings it forward; a radiant light blasts forth and obliterates the skeletons where they stand. “Great work Theburt”, Gladius pronounces.
Little to the party’s knowledge a shadow is moving across the wall, it goes and attacks the two warriors. It’s at this point Melkior blasts the shadow into nothing with a series of spells. By this point Gelidia manages to open the door and the water flushes out of the room. Gladius goes over and high-fives Melkior, nearly breaking his wrist. Gelidia just smiles and the party runs into the next room before the room gets completely submerged...
Then the vision ends leaving you confused.
Khannon, Rahg'nuul & Azhag Rahg’nuul awakes from his short rest, and decides to test out his new ram ring, thinking he might have cracked the secret to unlocking its power.
"Khannon, Azhag...please step to the side of the room", Rahg’nuul commands, and they do.
Rahg’nuul punches the statue with all his might, and his arm flares up in pain as he hits the statue. Rahg’nuul shakes his head. Hopefully something else will come to him later.

You cut the ropes and begin climbing down the ropes… You get almost near the bottom, but still to far the jump off without being hit when you see the ropes untying themselves from the hooks that keep them attached to the deck. Suddenly the The net is unattached to the base of the deck and Cid begins using the hippogriff to beat it wings rapidly causing large gouts of wind pressure. This causes the free floating rope to sway around in unpredictable patterns over the deck and occasionally the side of the ship into the black sea below. To further complicate matters the eagle lands on your shoulder and begins pecking at your ear.
14+3=17

…And actually draws blood with it’s attacks going from annoyance to an actually threat in the scenario.
Arvall & Cernd-ar
Arvall consults Cernd-ar to see what his thoughts are on the side entrance.
Cernd-ar uses his crowbaw to unhinge the handles from the cellar door and due to their old age they come off easily along with abit of the rotting wood. This makes a hollow creaking sound along with a snap with the breaking of the wood. The two of you look down into the dark cellar, there are stairs leading down but no lights.
Jarrackt You wish to escape but find that the entrance/exit of the fort is locked and bolted and it guarded by 3 heavily armed orcs, and assuming you could take down those orcs and make an escape, you’d still have to confront the ogres which have begun bombarding the keep from all ends…

@Siberys- I mentioned the languages since I knew you would want to change the languages now with the new situation. And I was aware of the Drow Sign, mostly via the works of RA Salvatore, but whatever.
After telling Steeltooth the response, you grab the money and shift into a female and head towards a tailor.
When you arrive at the shop you
I shift my body into a beautiful noble woman, head to a tailor you manage to find one of the finer ones in the upper limits of the city. There you find a male drow shop keeper, you use your superiority granted from your assumed gender to lower the price to 158 gp. 42 gp savings.
You go to the blacksmith, and seeing that you are not part of the army you can only manage to get a stiletto style kitchen knife (operates and priced like dagger).
You stash away your newly gained costume at a one of the three resistance store houses (Western one). The other 2 storehouses are locateded in the south (near the elevators leading to the Underdark mines) and the one in the East (located by the docks). You then transform into a young boy and head to the local bookstore to get some history text books, since you can purchase the books and have full access to the store where as the library has restricted archives.
From your studies this is what you learn.
During the age of heroes the Sarghress house was a minor religious caste of the lady Lolth in Underdark. When the Forgotten’s influence took hold and the Drow began joining the unified war effort the Sarghress was the only house of the six houses that went up to the surface world that remained faithful to Lolth alone. Most of the other houses had pledged allegiance to the Forgotten’s God Har'zack, especially after his “materialization”. In this event the God is purported to have actually taken physical being and joined the armies in leading them to victory. As one would imagine this converted many on the fence Drow to foregoing Lolth in favor of Har’Zack.
However once Har’zack and the forgotten disappeared, leaving behind only the inquisition many Drow felt they were left without meaning in the surface world they had sought to conquer and no longer felt attached to Underdark due to their raised status with less competition in the overworld.
It was in this turmoil that the 6 Drow houses took on the Val’ prefix to their houses denoting their allegiance to the surface world. On top of this the new Val’Sarghress clan was still strong due to being forever loyal to Lolth and thus never felt the full brunt of Har’zack’s disappearance. It was this family that assumed control and eventually helped lead the Drow people into building the Overdark as it is today.

Whistler Continued
Important notes:
*All members of the Val’Sarghress clan are devout followers of Lolth, and the royality of this clan are expected to be tied to her church in one way or another. What happens when one fails this is left unknown in the textbooks.
*Ariel’s mother is the Queen Quain'tana. Who is the 3rd matriach of the Val’Sarghress line. To common knowledge it appears that she is still a strong, methodical and competent leader. Being a high priest of lolth, a commander of the royal army and sound politian. She apparently also had a awesome military record for being a proud warrior herself in her days of being a princess.
*Ariel is the youngest of 4 children and was one of the 2 considered to be the new Queen.
*She has a brother named Kelnoz, little is known about him since he is unimportant and has no rights to land or titles, he probably acts as a handler and tutor for his 3 sisters. He is second oldest.
*She has 2 sisters. Syphile and Mel'arnach. Mel’arnach is mentioned as oldest, but seems to disapeer off the records after her birth. Syphile on the other hand seems to be made out to be a proud candidate for the next Queen Overdark. Syphile is second youngest.
*The father or fathers of the children is unmentioned anywhere in the books and may have been a male courtesan.
*As for Ariel herself, she appears to be frail child, and her lack of combat prowess undoubtably makes her mother rest uneasy, what she lacks in that however she makes up for her extensive knowledge of the scriptures of Lolth, and her political ties with other families having gained allies and possible enemies in all the houses. Putting her in a very delicate position, especially since all the factions tend to have it out for eachother.
*The most controvertial tie seems to be to that of the Val'Ilhar'dro clan, especially that to a female Jhal'na. The Va’llhar’dro clan is often considered the largest rival of her clan since they are still very loyal to Har’zack and bend over backwards to gain the approval of the inquistion. Conversely, Queen Quain’tana is adamanet about removing the inquistion’s ties to Overdark for deeds now long forgotten.
*Of her Family, Ariel seems to be the most reclusive of her family and the most religiously devout. She is a mediator and a peacebringer between families. Although many question whether she is two faced or only bears weak allegiances to the other houses due to her getting along with radically different castes and clans. Many suppose it could be niavity. Many assume it could be because she is physically frail and a single skilled assassin or mutinying guardsmen could spell the end of her. Where as her mother and sister Syphile are proud warriors who can hold their own against others, and may be some of the best swordswomen in the land. Her mother from real battle hardened experience, Syphile from being taught by the finest drow tutors and a few of her mother’s war buddies.
*The only other notable features are that Ariel tends to be reclusive near new people, has a small tight knit gang which she talks freely with. In front of her mother she only speaks in parable or quotes referring to scriptures, of course the ones that apply to the situation.
*At this point in time she is about 17 and is two months away from being sent off for her final initiation into the order of Lolth ascending from initiate to full on priest. This will occur on her 18th birthday.
*She is a slightly less than average height and frail build drow with white hair going past her knees behind her. She is often seen wearing a cross between royal garments of a princess and robes of a priestess of Lolth. She has been known to have a gold amulet of Lolth around her neck at all times, a family heirloom…
You arrive at the docks after assuming her form and give Steeltooth your punch daggers. He sits you down in a chair. In the room there appears to be 4 other people, a dwarf, a human, a gnome and a Halfling. They are covered in dirt and scars, possibly freed slaves from the mines. The dwarf looks crazed and the human appears to be praying to Weejas for strength. The gnome and Halfling seem to be pumping eachother up for something big. You notice all around them they are covered in weapons, explosives and crudely made armor.
The Dwarf Smiles, eyes going corsseyed “To the fall over Overcity” Before laughing maniacally. Steeltooth ties your hands behind the chair, “Try not to relax…”, Steeltooth says “Also, this part might be abit…. How should I put it weird.” He places something on your head and all goes dark…
…You awake to find yourself in a bed. Your head is sore. Your vision fuzzy, you look around and see you are in a majestic dark room in a vast bed, purple drapery everywhere, and only the dimmest of blue flames on the torches lining the wall. Across from your bed. An open window, leads to a balcony that appears to overlook the city.
“I see that you’re awake…”, a voice says to your right, You turn to see a weak male drow, with short hair, and a circulette around his head. He seems to be wearing the white suit, with a purple tabard over top. On the tabard a silver symbol of Lolth adorns it. On his ring finger he has a silver ring of lolth. The man has sunken eyes, possibly hasn’t slept in weeks, maybe months, you can’t tell what his frame looks like due to his clothes. He looks at you, “Do you have any idea who I am?”, he says with a hopeful raise in his eyebrow.
I play it off as if my memory is fuzzy but not entirely absent, that given time I will come to my old self (ariel's old self that is) fairly quickly. "I....I vaguely remember your face, it's definitely a familiar one...but...."
I let out a single tear, "What's happened to me? It feels as though I've been gone from this place for so long and yet...I don't seem to know where I am...."

At this point the door burst open and two Heavily armored purple gaurds march in, they have repeater crossbows slung over their shoulders and rapier's at their hips they march in split to the sides and make way for a heavily armored warrior woman adorned in purple and red platemail with spikes and cobweb patterned cape trailing behind. On her head there is a black crown with a Deep Amethyst gemstone which keeps her short hair out her eyes. She raises her arm up keeping him pinned which pulls him off his feet and makes him dangle. As he turns blue he raises the crown, "Mo-th-er..." he struggles. She grabs the crown and lets the man plummet to the ground. "What's this?" The woman screams staring at the bizarre crown made from what appears to be from two iron rings that intertwine around into a cricle.
"I... checked the archives.... It's a crown of Turaglas... It erases memories... I think..." The man struggles to breath, but is cut off.
"Amnesia..." The woman look at the magic device and snaps it in two in her gauntlet. "Will her memories return?", She looks at the man on the ground and begins to step on his genital area. "WILL THEY?" She screams.
"Yes! gah, yes..." He screams in agony.
"Good." She says spitting on him, "You are to re-teach her Everything, I am not to have.... She can not fail her initiation into priesthood!"
"I will not tolerate another failure of this proportion again.", The woman says before turning on her heel and going to leave, her guards trail behind her and close the door...
The man picks himself off the ground. Slowly. He manages to pull himself to a chair and sits there for awhile. "I guess I'll be tutoring you again... Do you remember anything, possibly why you left?", He looks at you for awhile, "Nevermind. Well I'll leave you to rest and recover for the day. If anything comes back to you or you need anything just contact me or any of the servants. They'll know where I am.", the man gets up and leaves opening the door looking behind for a moment and then leaving. You find him impossible to read.

The eagle bites down on your finger as you climb down, you ignore the pain. Cid goes to cast another spell using on of his wands.
Use magic device 1+8=9 Fumble
Suddenly the wand violently misfires and his hippogriff begins to molt and rot from beneath him... it's eye falls out of it's socket and explodes into puss as it crashes against the deck. Cid flies the beast down and crashes it into the side of the mast causing the creature to explode in a mass of feathers and mare hair and sending Cid crashing to the bottom of the deck.

Cid hits the deck hard, but doesn't break anything since the slowly crumbling carcass of his mount cushioned his fall. You take this time to time your jump off the loose rope as you are closer to the ground. You Rush toward the high elf, creating a silent image of yourself as your rush forward.
Cid looks up and sneers he pulls out a wand and decides to try firing at one of you.

Cid raises his wand and fires a magical disc at the false version of you's feet. The disc flies right through your ghost image and dissipates into nothing as it exits the maximum spell range.
You hand the ruby over to the high elf and are declared the winner.
I'll continue the riveting adventures tomorrow (because my battery is dying .)
Jarrackt You go to try and talk to the Black orc, he seems stressed and exceptionally busy you try to reason with him and make your case known, but he will have none of it. He sends two orc guards to drag you back to the group.
You are being dragged back to the citizen pile A couple goblins come over. "Hey! You Kobold!", One of the goblin says looking around, "I think we can help you out, but you've got to promise to help US out, deal?"
I slowly move upstairs and press my hears to the door and try to listen how many people are upstairs

Brauer Drudoc.
I swing my fist at the bird"HA!" then I gently touch my hears and help Cid stand up "I dont see how this proves we are better teachers"I grim at cid as I offer my hand.
Before they can take us to the next challenge I weave at the captain to approach me "Look for me once this parade is done, we have to talk...about the night insident" I look at the sea "tell you first mate to have his eyes open, the culprit I believe will take advantaged of this.. beware once my spellspool dies or Loremaster cid uses all of his wands"
Have you seen my brain around here? No? well in case you see it its brainy and squishy looking. If you see it let me know
Heh...if I could kill her and assume her form...I could take down the entire royal family if I really wanted to....
But, she has some skill herself. Well out of my league, easily. One mistake, just one slight error with her, and I'm dead."
Out loud-
"Wait...I want to ask one thing...
That terrifying woman, she is....her name is Quain'tana right? And if so, would that make you Kelnoz?
Why does she treat you so abysmally?"
Listen up maggots, Mr. Popo's 'bout to teach you the pecking order.
It goes you, the dirt, the worms inside of the dirt, Popo's stool, Kami, then Popo.

Rahg'nuul, Khannon & Azhag
After Khannon makes his comment there is a violent rumble, you don't feel any shifting, but then Azhag points outside the vault entrance, "Look!"
Outside the world appears to be spinning, starting slowly and picking up speed, you see the statue point towards the ground and then you see the landscape beyond the statue spin towards the night sky, then back to the ground which appears a bit closer...
"noooooooooo!!!"
ToDM: I take it we have no chance to escape the vault before the entire complex phases someplace new? It seems we are too late but if we are not, then Rahg'nuul urges to party to flee for their lives

Cernd-ar remains armed and at the ready with his flail, whispers to Arvall "what do you hear?"
Cerndar then begins the incantation of 'Light' (again, whispering it) and casts the spell upon his own flail head. He grows weary of struggling with the darkness in the cellar...

You try to sense what the goblin's motives are, from there behaviour and the precarious position that the soldiers are in you know that what they are going to ask of you is going to be dangerous, for them but will benefit themselves in someway in the long run.
The goblin says, "Two weeks ago we had a spellcaster taking refuge in our village. We ended up chasing him up north, but lost him when he escaped into the mines. We assume that he's still hiding out in the mines somewhere...", The goblin explains, "If you want to help we'll sneak you out by lowering you down the eastern wall. There, you will find a hidden path that leads to the Eastern Fall. The city will be be crawling with ogres, you would then need to sneak your way to the mines in the Lower North or Upper North, although the further up you go the more ogres there are bound to be. From my understanding kobolds are masters of the sub-terrain world, so if anyone can sniff out our mage friend and coax him into helping us out it'll be an outsider kobold. Sound like a plan?"
Arvall Marsharness & Cernd-ar
You begin looking for another set of stairs to bring you closer to the ceiling/floor...
Spot 18+1=19
You look around the cellar carefully and find a ladder leading up to a trapdoor, under a corner of the room. You climb up the ladder and place your ear against the floor and try to make out the number of people above you and what they are talking about...
"Looks like quite t.. ...s you've got on the t.... .loor.", says a gruff voice, possibly a half-orc.
"Yeah, that's wh... ..e three outsiders ..... staying, last nigh..", responds a more cool and collected voice.
". ...rd that the sacrif... ..r tonight was actu.... .ollected from la.. ...ht's little debacl..", Chimes in a high-pitched 3rd voice.
"...., but the casualtie. .. ..is tavern alone wh... ..gh enough as it was, ... ..one the disaster w... ..e whole gypsy cara....", The cold voice says sounding somewhat bitter.
".. one could of assum.. ...t the gypsies woul. .... had that much fire..... and even a spellca.....", The high-pitched voice complains.
". for one, am not too s.....sed. They're outsid. .. ..e laws at all times, .... .f them are thieves ... ..igands. Of course t...'. .e holding sanctua.. ... witches.", the gruff being growls.
"So what di. ... .o with the sacrifi.. ... the other two?", asks the more chipper voice.
"The H...-..c Female and the Gn... ..e both dead, and hav. ....ady been sent to th. ....eyard to be anoint... ...y'll serve as prote..... until the ritual i. ....lete.", says the cooler voice.
"And the sacri....?" The Squeaky voice inquires.

"He may be only .....l by day, but the bro.....ood's priests are k.... .or their supernat.... .ualities, so I'm sur. ..'.. still be able to at.... .onight." The cold voice says as reassuringly as possible.
You look at the ceiling and from the shadows you can make out where the three individuals are, one is pacing at an end of the room, one of them appears to behind barricade, the final one is standing in the middle of the room.
Cernd-ar walking into the basement shielding the illuminated flail slightly. This gives him enough light to navigate through the basement with ease, but without alerting the people above you to your presence.
Brauer Drudoc
You win the challenge and offer your hand to Cid begrudgingly. He quietly thanks you as he wipes himself off. You complain that you don't see how these challenges determine who the better teacher is.
"It's one thing to know the skills, it's takes an even greater knowledge to be able to apply those skills in actual real world scenarios.", Soloman says with a wink.
The eagle eventual disintegrates in mid air, being much smaller in size it decomposes much quicker, with only the skeleton still being in the air for a few seconds before crashing into the deck of the ship and becoming nothing but dust. "Good riddance" you find yourself muttering as you watch the remains of the bird blow of with the midnight breeze.
You walk over to Walter and inform him of the interloper and warn him that this tournament may drain you to much to deal with them. He agrees to talk to you later about it.
You, Cid and the judges then return to the auditorium, where everyone has patiently awaited for the return of the contestants.
Quarion bold announces, "Brauer wins an excellent victory. 20 points for Brauer!", Quarion holds the ruby up high. And the crowd assembled in the Mess hall cheers. The first mate pulls you aside and brings you outside of the mess hall as the next challenge begins.
The large armoured man pulls off his helmet revealing a bizarrely shaped reptilian head, you try remember what he might be...
Knowledge (Nature) 9+4=13
...But have absolutely NO clue what race he is, clearly reptilian, but that's all you know. You recall Waltur mentioned that he knew the most about getting to Lustaria. Perhaps he is a descendant of some really ancient reptilian race that lived on the islands.
"Look into my eyes...", The lizardthing commands holding your head still with his hands. His eyes are black beads at the end of scaled cones protruding from his head. "Tell me everything I need to know..."
Khannon, Rahg'nuul & Azhag
Although the outside world is spinning it's not too late to escape if you formulate a decent plan. You need to decide whether you want to escape the vault while the rotations are slower, but the entrance is higher of the ground... Or wait until the entrance is closer to the ground, but the rotations are far more violent and have built up speed.
Whistler
You ask the man about their personalities and whether the woman was Queen Quain'tana, and he is Kelnoz.
He turns around and smiles, "Well it's nice to see you regaining some of your memories... kind of...", He seems slightly different...
Sense Motive 17+5=22
He seems suspicious, you think the name "Kelnoz" tipped him off on something being amiss, but you can't tell why or how...
You ask why he is treated terribly.
"It's because I'm a man.", Kelnoz begins, "Men can't become priests, you must know how important that is correct? Does any of this click with you?"
