No, not planned it, but from the PC's point of view it seems strange to say the least that having gone everywhere where there was fighting, he was not anywhere to be seen, then turns up at the last moment to spirit you away. Keeping in mind that the history of the wardens isn't exactly as pure as the driven snow, they have form for interfering in Ferelden's affairs after all, one can imagine that there would be suspicion of them.Ragin Cajun wrote:Wow..you think Duncan planned that? Hmmm..... I have replied twice before, and yet not given a proper answer.
Very Well, here it is: (some spoilers, btw)
Tie for first: Magi Origin as elf and Human Noble warrior sword & shield, both as female. I like playing around with magic, and for the FHN,. Always fun.
Next level is a Tie as well. Both Remaining Elf Origins. City elf as Female Rogue, Dual-wield spec, and Dalish Elf (both genders equally) as a Rogue, Archer Spec that I typically reffer to as Hunter. I like Elves. And City Elf, as female, has a certain immediacy to it that isn't really in the others. Side note: As City Elf, Morrigan is given the boot. ALWAYS Ultimate Sacrifice, to rejoin the Bethrothed.
Hated: Both Dwarf Origins. In look, the Dwarves are quite human, like Bioware just simply halved the height of the Human model and made more beards. And the "politics". Too viscious for my taste.

I did notice that dwarves in DA have slightly elongated arms when compared to their human and elf counterparts. If I recall correctly, their arms extend up to their knees. Always found that amusingGoldDragon wrote:Hated: Both Dwarf Origins. In look, the Dwarves are quite human, like Bioware just simply halved the height of the Human model and made more beards.

One thing I noticed about the dwarves, the females at least, is that they look *a lot* like halfings...

I noticed that too, and the same can be said of the elves as well, despite the pointy ears and some of them sporting face paint. Only the important characters seem to be better designed (and resemble more of what you'd expect in any fantasy medium).GoldDragon wrote:...In look, the Dwarves are quite human, like Bioware just simply halved the height of the Human model and made more beards.
Probably assume Bioware did it to save some time, but it's still pretty telling. At least the faces used have more variety compared to IO's effort in Freedom Fighters where 4 - 5 faces are copied and pasted on every freedom fighter you meet (Ivan's side is worse since one face fits all types of soldiers, from grunt to machine-gunner).
''They say truth is the first casualty of war. But who defines what's true? Truth is just a matter of perspective. The duty of every soldier is to protect the innocent, and sometimes that means preserving the lie of good and evil, that war isn't just natural selection played out on a grand scale. The only truth I found is that the world we live in is a giant tinderbox. All it takes...is someone to light the match" - Captain Price

Bioware still stands guilty as charged of that offense in Mass Effect 1 where every generic female human looked the same and even sported the exact same hairdo, just with varying colors. The rest of the alien races didn't fare much better in terms of diversity of looks.DesR85 wrote:Probably assume Bioware did it to save some time, but it's still pretty telling.
