Dragon Age: Awakening Patch?

Post by thantor3 »

Any word on a patch? It seems unfathomable, given all the negative reports that I have read, that Bioware is allowing DA:O's brand reputation to be damaged in this way for so long. Like many others, I do not intend to play Awakenings until the expansion is patched.

I've not kept up with it, so I can't say - but my Awakening (and original DA:O) was seriously unstable when I upgraded to 1.03, but I did manage to play through it ...

Right now it seems as though BioWare is content to let people mod out the bugs while they churn out so-so DLCs. If you don't mind the fixes being unofficial, you might want to look here.

This isn't a bug fix patch, but a lot of people have complained they miss their companions from Origins.

This mod attempts to address the issue somewhat. I haven't used it myself yet, because I've also been holding off on Awakenings, but thought I'd make a note in case it was of interest.

Thank you all for your assistance. Hopefully there will soon be a mod that will allow me to add DW as a companion, ready to spark a romance or just share causal, innuendo-laced conversation. :D

Just curious, to update status for those like myself that held off on Awakenings, what ever happened with a patch on the playability issue?
