Deus Ex question

Post by brxbrx »

Hi everybody,
I'm playing Deus Ex, the first one.

I've reached hell's kitchen, the second time around, and a dying Paul has asked me to check out the NSF base, find some datacube incriminating UNATCO, and adjust a satellite dish. I've been looking at walkthroughs on the internet, and none mention doing anything else. Hoiwever, the game seems to imply I have a choice here. I'm hoping to play as a UNATCO badass, and I don't want to aid the resistance.
So after I checked out the base, I camke back to paul, and told him
"sorry, paul, Unatco's not perfect, but I'm no terrorist" or something like that. To me, this indicates I have some sort of choice, but I don't have a code to reach battery park and the chopper.
So do I have to side w/ the NSF?

I'm not sure if you have choice there. I did side with the nsf here (and everywhere else for that matter) but if you have a choice here you should be able to find a way to get to the park.

There is no choice. This situation in particular is completely linear. You might as well get used to it.

Dang, I was hoping, that with that dialogue I had, that there'd be another way.

Thank you, though!
