Chapter V checklist?

Post by GawainBS »

In BG-TotSC Tutu, I got to Chapter V. Has anyone got some sort of checklist with all the quests/encounters in Baldur's Gate? It's been a while, and I'm afraid of skipping things. I'd prefer it if the list was printable. (No, printing out entire GB pages isn't "printable". :p )

Thanks in advance!

Even though the walkthrough does list them all, that sure would be nice as a single checksheet. I ended up redoing the city of BG because the journal didn't show much in resolved mini-quests and l frankly lost track of what I had finished and what I hadn't (not to mention where to find the originator in a couple of cases. I made some jotted notes but they aren't complete as I didn't bother to write down many of the ones that can be quickly knocked out.

Easy to see why BG2's journal was set up the way it is, now that I have been playing BG1.

I will try to do this with my second character (who is still very early in the game having just cleared the Mine in Nashkel).

It's not ideal, but I used Dan Simpson's excellent walkthrough from Gamefaqs to alt-tab with. Alt-tabbing doesn't work for everyone, though.

The wonderful Mike's RPG Center Baldur's Gate has an excellent list of subquests as well as a good walkthrough of just the "must do" quests and actions. I know there are one or two things missing but it is by far and away the most complete checklist I've seen.

Not particularly impressed by Mike's list. A lot of the quests seem to be missing and they aren't divided by chapter or area, so as a quick reference, it isn't much good. The links to the areas can be handy, however.

I think it gets confusing because most of the subquests can be done in any chapter you want - except of course for those within the city. I know there are some subquests missing from Mike's list, but it seems to be the most complete list I've found so far. If you use the walkthrough on this site and the list of subquests on Mike's you get most of them. The sites where I found the missing ones weren't as complete as this combination ... and almost all of them have disappeared anyway :D
