Stuck in Dragon's Eye :-(

I am stuck now in the Dragons Eye caves, I dont know how to progress, I found some threads on this but they didnt quite help me, here are some of the riddles I cant solve;

First level; some prisoners trapped in a little room near the toture chamber, I cant open the door.

Second level:
-There are the Histachii labs, and those two levers, I can pull the first lever with one of my characters, but it doesnt seem to do anything, the other lever apparantly activates the lab, but I cant work it, and no one comes to fix it :-(

Third level:
-On this level there is a room which has a bridge leadign to it, but I cant lower the drawbridge. I have a dwarven book about bridges but it doesnt seem to help.
-There is a room I cant enter becaues it has 'Syths eye' which stops me getting close.
-There are two small doors I cant open, one clearly has a room behind it.

Please help, I dont know what to do next! I really just want to know the minimum neccessary to keep me progressing rather than a total walkthrough of all the above points, and then ill try and work out the rest for myself, thanks.

For getting to the prisoners, explore around in the torture chamber some more and see if there are any parts of the chamber you can manipulate (e.g. the cursor will change from the regular cursor to the circular arrows for double clicking).

Talking to one of the prisoneers (Nherro) will help you with both the lab quest and finding a way to get that draw bridge down (which will involve getting past the Eye of Sseth). You'll need to do the lab quest in order to do the other ones.

Search for a book on the shelves of the lab on the 2nd floor and you'll get the idea what the switch is used for.

And about opening door on the 1st floor...I also had hard time spotting the lever, but clicking on various objects in the torture room and talking to prisoner on the other side will give you a hint where to look.

okay I had a closer look in the torture chamber as you said and found the wheel that can be turned! I didnt notice that before, thanks folks, now I can move on

oh dear, I resumed playing, I freed the prisoners and chatted to Nheero but he doesnt help me move forward. I read some walkthroughs now, and apparantly Im supposed to find Mandals ghost and retrieve his sword, but his ghost is nowhere to be seen and Neehro wont even give me the mission to find Mandal, he just gives me info about the Yuan-Ti and so on.

I looked in my journal and it says i found his sword many days ago. When I couldnt open the prison before I jsut carried on and cleared out the second and third levels, that was before I even spoke to neehra, so I dont know maybe I have screwed thigns up by doign them in the wrong order. Also I dotn seem to have anything by the name of 'Mandals sword' in my possessions so Im thinking I might ahve sold it on! or does it go by a different name?

Is there anythign more I can try?
