With all the hype, interviews, and reviews coming out, you'd think Fallout: New Vegas was being released next week, not in three or four MONTHS.
IS the hype bad? Can the game live up to all the press? I say it can't. Doesn't mean it won't be good, there is just too much build up, too early.

Hypes are tools created by publishers to increase sales. They aren't inherently flawed since it's never a given that a game will turn out a certain way while it's still in production phase. The only bad/good thing is any persons ability to seperate relevant content from irrelevant content. Being right here on this website is one of the best things anyone can do.
