OK....i am too much of a goody-too-shoes.....and so when i play i usually take the lawful / chaotic good track....hence when i play the OC i end up siding with Cormick and the watch.....
lol......ok long story short.....has anyone ever passed a successful diplomacy or intimidate check against caleb when you are sent to arrest him....?!!?...
Do we chalk this up to yet another Obsidian blunder of leaving something uncompleted before they released the game....
in reference to the fact that such a check IS shown during the "talk to" menu options with him......instead of being plain options....know what i am sayin'?....
Arresting Caleb - OC - (Possible Spoilers)

i have noticed that nobody really even asks about this.....
a google search just brings up one person even mentioning this....in the gamespot forums....
why aren't you ppl curious...as to why a diplomacy/intimidate check is mentioned in a "talk to" option...and not being implemented?
or am i and that person from the other forum the only two ppl who ever took the watchman branch in the NWN2 OC.....

My view was that the check is deliberately impossible to meet without cheats as he is not the kind of person that would surrender under any circumstance. This fits into his character type and makes sense. If other people reach the same logical conclusion then that is why nobody asks about it.
The check is simply there for roleplaying purposes in case you are playing a character that would at least try to persuade him to surrender.

IMO...that smacks of being an excuse...more than a fact/answer......mr_sir wrote:My view was that the check is deliberately impossible to meet without cheats as he is not the kind of person that would surrender under any circumstance. and the way many things in the game had been left out...i suspect Obsidian also let this off.....probably could have had an escort type quest situation after the arrest?....<_<.........:speech:
I would agree with mr_sir - the game cannot allow Caleb to surrender. There's no story branch for that. Just my 2 cents.
